Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• For Project Associate PAT-II (Post Code 18001): Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Horticulture/Agriculture/Biological Sciences from a recognized university with 02 years of research experience.
• For Project Associate PAT-II (Post Code 18001): Desirable Qualification: Two years research experience in floricultural crops evidenced by research publications.
• For Project Assistant-II (PA-II) (Post Code 18002): Essential Qualification: B.Sc. from a recognized university.
• For Project Assistant-II (PA-II) (Post Code 18002): Desirable Qualification: Working knowledge of computers, project data handling, conducting educational visits, outreach activities in schools.

Salary / Stipend

• Project Associate PAT-II (Post Code 18001): Rs. 35,000/- + HRA per month (consolidated) for candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR NET including lectureship/assistant professorship or GATE or National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments like DBT/DST or equivalent Agencies/Institutions.
• Project Associate PAT-II (Post Code 18001): Rs. 28,000/- + HRA per month (consolidated) for other candidates who do not fall under the above category.
• Project Assistant-II (PA-II) (Post Code 18002): Rs. 20,000/- + HRA per month (consolidated).

Age Limit 

• Maximum age for Project Associate PAT-II (Post Code 18001): 35 Years as on 09-01-2026.
• Maximum age for Project Assistant-II (PA-II) (Post Code 18002): 35 Years as on 09-01-2026.
• Relaxation in upper age limit: SC/ST/PwBD/Women – 05 years; OBC – 03 years, or as per Govt. of India instructions issued from time to time.

Important Dates

Selection Process

• Selection will be through Walk-in-Interview for the advertised positions on the scheduled date, time and venue.
• The Selection Committee(s) may adopt the selection criterion at its own discretion, either by conducting direct interview or objective test (based on Multiple Choice Questions) followed by interview on the same day.
• The number of selected candidates may vary from the advertised positions depending upon the performance of candidates during the selection process.

General Information / Instructions

• Engagement under these positions shall be on behalf of the sponsoring agency and shall be purely temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project or 06 years, whichever is earlier.
• Such engagement will not provide any right or claim for regularization for any permanent post of CSIR.
• If any candidate wants to apply for more than one position code, they must submit a separate application form for each position code.
• Candidates reporting for interview after 10:00 AM will not be allowed to appear for interview.
• Candidates must also bring original certificates of testimonials at the time of appearing for the interview; failing this, they will not be allowed to appear for the interview.
• No Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid for attending the interview.
• Candidates must ensure that they bring self-attested copies of their essential certificates; otherwise, their applications will not be accepted.
• The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the duration of the project; there will be no right implicit or explicit for any regular position or any post in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur.
• The performance of the Project Staff will be reviewed after every six-months period and any one not found up to the mark may be terminated.
• Request for online Interview will not be entertained under any circumstances.
• The decision of the Director, CSIR-IHBT, Palampur shall be final on any matter relating to engagement of the advertised positions in CSIR-IHBT, Palampur (H.P.).
• The Competent Authority reserves the right to relax any of the provisions contained in this advertisement on reasonable ground.
• Result awaited candidates are not eligible for interview.
