Selection for both posts follows a two-stage process:
- Trade Test (Qualifying): Screened and eligible candidates are called for a Trade Test in the relevant area/ discipline.
- Competitive Written Examination: Candidates who qualify the Trade Test appear for a written exam of 200 questions across three papers, in a 3-hour OMR/ Computer-Based Objective Multiple-Choice format, set in English and Hindi (except the English language paper).
