Punjab House Surgeon Eligibility Criteria 2026
Nationality

Selection Process

Punjab House Surgeon Salary/Remuneration 2026
- House Surgeon: ₹70,000 per month
Each selected candidate must deposit a security amount of ₹20,000 before joining duty. This security is forfeited, and no House Job completion certificate is issued, if the House Surgeon leaves before completing the full tenure or is discharged due to unsatisfactory conduct.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- These House Jobs are for general, emergency, and specialized duties - not for a single specialty.
- No TA/DA will be paid for journeys undertaken for counseling or interview.
- The maximum tenure of House Job appointment for any particular candidate is one year.
- Selected candidates must join within one week from the batch start date, failing which the next candidate on the waiting list will be invited.
- Every candidate must affirm in writing that they are not bonded to serve the State/Central Government. Bonded candidates must obtain a No Objection Certificate from the Director, Research and Medical Education, Punjab, Chandigarh, or the Director, Health and Family Planning, Punjab, Chandigarh.
- A House Job completion certificate will be issued by the Civil Surgeon only on successful completion of the full tenure; no certificate is issued to candidates who leave before completion.
- A House Physician/House Surgeon is eligible for one leave per month. Leave taken beyond this is without pay and extends the tenure to complete the certificate requirement. Carry-forward of unutilized leave is permitted only within the tenure of the ongoing batch.
- Reservation will be applicable as per Punjab Government rules and policy/guidelines from time to time.
