Electronics Corporation of India Limited (ECIL) has officially released the much-awaited Apprentices Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. 01/2026) on January 6, 2026. This is great news for fresh engineering graduates and diploma holders looking for hands-on training in a prestigious PSU under the Department of Atomic Energy. The recruitment aims to engage 248 apprentices (200 Graduate Engineer Apprentices + 48 Technician/Diploma Apprentices) for one-year training at ECIL's Hyderabad facility.

Note: Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates will be followed as per Government norms. If sufficient Engineering Graduates are NOT attending/joining the apprenticeship, the vacant positions will be engaged with Diploma holders and vice versa.
Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification
For Graduate Engineer Apprentice (GEA):
- Candidates who have passed B.E./B.Tech. course in the following engineering branches: ECE, CSE/IT, Mechanical, EEE, EIE, Civil, Chemical
- Qualification obtained on or after 1st April 2023
- Degree must be from AICTE approved colleges / recognized Indian Universities
For Technician (Diploma) Apprentices (TA):
- Candidates who have passed 3 Years Diploma course in the following branches: ECE, CSE/IT, Mechanical, EEE, EIE, Civil, Chemical
- Diploma obtained on or after 1st April 2023
General Eligibility
- Candidates residing All Over India and only Indian residents are eligible to apply
- All qualifications should be from Indian Institutes recognized by Appropriate Statutory Authority
- Candidates must register on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal: www.nats.education.gov.in
Who Cannot Apply
- Candidates who have already undergone or who are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under Apprenticeship Act 1961 in any Government/PSU/Private Organization are not eligible to apply
Salary/Stipend
- Graduate Engineer Apprentice (GEA) Stipend: Rs. 9,000/- per month
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentice (TA) Stipend: Rs. 8,000/- per month
- Duration: Monthly stipend will be paid for one year apprenticeship period
Age Limit (as on 31-12-2025)
- Maximum Age: 25 years or less as on 31-12-2025
- Age Relaxation for SC/ST: 5 years (Maximum age: 30 years)
- Age Relaxation for OBC (NCL): 3 years (Maximum age: 28 years)
- Age Relaxation for PwD (40% and above disability): 10 years (Maximum age: 35 years)

Selection Process
- Based on online applications data, candidates will be called for original documents verification at CLDC-ECIL Hyderabad
- After successful document verification, Apprentices selections will be done based on qualifying examination marks merit
- For GEAs: B.E./B.Tech. consolidated marks will be considered
- For Diploma Apprentices: Diploma consolidated marks will be considered
- In case of CGPA, relevant CGPA to percentage conversion certificate from the college/university should be produced by the candidate
- Selection will be purely merit-based and transparent
General Information/Instructions
Apprenticeship Period
- The tenure of Apprenticeship would be One Year only
- Apprenticeship training will commence from 09-02-2026
- Before commencement of training, candidates will have to execute a Contract of Apprenticeship
Terms and Conditions
- The engagement and training are strictly in compliance with provisions of Apprenticeship Act, 1961
- There is no obligation for employment of Apprentices on completion of their training
- The Apprentice after completion of training shall have no right to claim any employment in ECIL
- Candidates selected for training will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons beyond their control
- Those who absent themselves are liable to refund the whole cost of their training as well as the amount received as stipend as determined by Central Apprenticeship Advisor
Registration Requirements
- Candidates MUST register themselves on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) website: www.nats.education.gov.in
- Applications submitted on ECIL website shall only be accepted and considered
- After applying online, candidate required to take printout of registered online application form with system-generated application serial number
- Candidate must quote system-generated online application number for all future correspondence
Category Certificate Requirements
- Category Certificate in support of SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS should be in prescribed proforma as hosted on www.ecil.co.in portal
- The Degree of Disability for PwD Candidates to be eligible is 40% & above
- Latest Caste & Disability (PwD) certificates wherever applicable should be produced
Documents Required at Time of Joining
ECIL being highly protected establishment, Selected Apprentices should produce the following documents at time of joining:
- Character/Conduct certificate from the concerned institution where they last studied
- Police verification certificate from concerned District Police Superintendent
- A physical fitness certificate from a Civil Assistant Surgeon
Important Instructions
- Before applying, candidate should read the advertisement carefully and ensure eligibility criteria is fulfilled in all respects
- The application is liable for rejection at any stage of engagement process in case of suppression of facts/furnishing of false information
- If any shortcoming is noticed even after Apprenticeship commencement, apprenticeship will be liable for termination forthwith
- No separate communication will be sent to any candidate on their non-selection at any stage of engagement process
- ECIL reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/modify the selection process, if need arises, without assigning any reason
- ECIL reserves the right to increase or decrease the notified seats based on need
- ECIL will not be responsible for Network/Internet related difficulties/issues
- Canvassing in any form will result in immediate rejection of application
- Any Legal proceeding can be instituted only in jurisdiction limited to Courts at Medchal District, Telangana
Important Caution
- Some unscrupulous elements may approach candidates with assurance of procuring Apprenticeship through illegal gratification

Application Process (Two Steps)
STEP 1: NATS Registration
- Interested candidates who possess required criteria/educational qualification MUST register themselves on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) website

STEP 2: ECIL Online Application
- Subsequent to registration in NATS portal, interested eligible candidates shall submit online application through ECIL website

- Take printout of registered online application form with system-generated application serial number
- Note down application serial number for all future references
