Candidates must possess a PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned subject from a recognized institution as per norms mentioned in the notification.
All candidates must be below 44 years of age for all categories as on the date of interview.
Candidates serving bond under any Government Institution are not eligible to apply.
Candidates who have completed 3 years as Senior Resident in any Government Institution are not eligible to apply.
Candidates must have valid registration with Karnataka State Medical Council (KMC) / NMC for MBBS and PG degrees.
Candidates applying under OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PWD categories must possess certificates issued by competent authority in prescribed format valid for appointment in Central Government Institutions before the date of interview.
Candidates claiming OBC reservation/age relaxation must produce updated OBC certificate as per Annexure-A of Government of India guidelines; otherwise, they will be treated as General category.
Reservation of Persons with Benchmark Disability (PWD) is as per prevailing Government of India guidelines.
Salary/Stipend
Senior Resident will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,40,545/- per month.
In addition, TA and DA on TA are admissible as applicable.
No other allowances such as DA, NPA, HRA etc. are payable over and above the consolidated remuneration.
No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.

Selection Process
Selection will be based on performance in personal interview conducted by a duly constituted selection board.
Applications submitted on the day of walk-in along with requisite fee will be scrutinized, and only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the interview.
If the number of applicants is large, the selection committee may devise shortlisting criteria, which may include conducting a screening test.
Fifty percent of the total marks will be considered as the minimum criteria for eligibility for selection.
Selected candidates must report for medical examination and verification of original certificates immediately after receiving provisional offer of appointment through e-mail.
Final selection will be based on performance in the personal interview, subject to verification of original certificates.
A waiting list will be prepared and will remain valid for two months from the date of release of result, subject to approval of the competent authority.
