Vacancy Details

Note: Vacancies are provisional and may change as per actual requirement on the date of interview. In case of non-availability of candidates in advertised category, posts may be filled for 44 days with UR candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Super Specialist (Full Time/Part Time):

• A recognized medical qualification included in the first or second Schedule or Part-II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
• MCh/DM/DNB or equivalent in the concerned Super specialty
• All post graduate additional qualifications must be registered with the Medical Council
• For Senior Consultant level: At least 5 years post super specialty qualification experience required
• Age: Not exceeding 69 years as on date of interview (tenure beyond 70 years not allowed)

Specialist (Full Time/Part Time):

• Post Graduate Degree/DNB or Diploma in concerned speciality after MBBS with TCMC registration
• For Casualty/ICU: PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine and registered with Medical Council
• Experience (Junior Level): 3 years for degree holders OR 5 years for diploma holders
• Experience (Senior Level): 5 years for degree holders OR 7 years for diploma holders
• All post graduate additional qualifications must be registered with the Medical Council
• Age: Not exceeding 69 years as on date of interview (tenure beyond 70 years not allowed)

Senior Resident (1 Year, Pay Level 11):

• For Superspeciality departments: DM/DrNB in concerned superspeciality preferred over MD/DNB in General Medicine
• For Specialty departments: Post Graduate Degree/DNB or Diploma in concerned specialty after MBBS with TCMC registration
• For ICU: PG Degree or PG Diploma holders in Anesthesiology/General Medicine/Pulmonary Medicine/Emergency Medicine/Critical care medicine and registered with Medical Council
• For Casualty: PG Degree or PG Diploma preferred. In absence of PG qualification: MBBS doctors with at least 2 years experience in concerned specialities
• Age: Not exceeding 45 years as on date of interview (relaxation for SC, ST & OBC as per rules)
• Candidates who have completed 3 years Senior Residency in any Central Institution are NOT eligible

Application Fee

• General, EWS & OBC Candidates: ₹250 (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only)
• SC/ST Candidates: ₹50 (Rupees Fifty only)
• PWD/Female Applicants: Exempt from application fee
• Fee payable via Demand Draft drawn in favour of Employees' State Insurance Fund (Account No 1, payable at Kollam)

Important Dates

Selection Process

Interview Based Selection:

• Selection will be based on qualification, experience & interview
• Interview will be conducted at ESIC Model and Super Specialty Hospital, Asramam, Kollam
• Candidates must appear in person at the walk-in interview with all original documents

Verification Process:

• Applicants must bring original documents including caste certificate (if applicable)
• One set of Xerox copies of all original documents required
• Medical fitness verification required
• All qualifications and certificates subject to verification

Important Conditions:

• Canvassing in any form is disqualification
• Selected candidates must possess professional indemnity insurance as per specifications
• Private practice not allowed except for Part-time Super Specialists/Specialists
• No TA/DA admissible for interview
• Appointment subject to verification of all documents and medical fitness

Salary/ Remuneration

Super Specialist (Full Time):

• Entry Level: ₹2,00,000 per month
• Senior Level: ₹2,40,000 per month
• Contract: 1 year, extendable up to 3 years on satisfactory performance or till regular incumbent joins, whichever earlier
• Working Hours: 09:00 AM - 04:00 PM on weekdays, 09:00 AM - 01:00 PM on Saturdays
• Emergency calls and visits as required

Super Specialist (Part-Time):

• Entry Level: ₹1,00,000 per month
• Additional ₹20,000 as visiting charges in case of emergency (if willing)
• ₹1,200 for every additional hour beyond 16 hours per week
• Senior Level (Consultant): ₹1,50,000 per month with similar benefits
• Work: 4 hours session per day X 4 days per week (16 hours)

Specialist (Full Time):

• Junior Level: ₹1,38,108 per month
• Senior Level: ₹1,60,752 per month
• Contract: 1 year, extendable up to 3 years or till regular incumbent joins

Specialist (Part-Time):

• ₹60,000 per month
• Additional ₹15,000 as visiting charges in case of emergency (if willing)
• ₹800 for additional hours beyond 16 hours per week
• Work: 4 hours session per day X 4 days per week (16 hours)

Senior Resident (Pay Level 11):

• Approximately ₹1,38,108 per month
• Deductions: ₹1,350 for Diploma holders only, ₹2,250 if neither Diploma nor Degree
• Contract: 1 year (till regular incumbent joins)
• Security Deposit: ₹15,000 (refundable after successful completion)

• Completed application in prescribed proforma
• MBBS Degree certificate (original and xerox copy)
• PG Degree/Diploma Certificate for the speciality applied (original and xerox copy)
• MCI/TCMC Registration Certificate (basic and additional qualifications) - original and xerox copy
• Matriculation certificate as proof of Date of Birth
• Experience Certificate from previous employers
• Caste Certificate and Non-creamy layer certificate (if applicable) - original and xerox copy
• EWS Certificate (if applicable)
• PWD Certificate (if applicable)
• LPC/No Due Certificate from previous employer (if applicable)
• Two recent passport size photographs (one affixed on application, one spare)
• Demand Draft for application fee (in favour of Employees' State Insurance Fund)
• Any other relevant documents

Important Notes:

• Applicants must bring both original and xerox copies of all documents
• MCI registration required for all qualifications listed
• All documents subject to verification
• NO TA/DA admissible for interview
• Selected candidates must sign agreement on non-judicial stamp paper (₹200)
• Security deposit of ₹15,000 required at time of joining (refundable after completion)
