Age Limit

The maximum age is 40 years. SC, ST, OBC and women candidates get five years of relaxation as per C.G. Govt. Rules.

Minimum Qualification (mandatory)

• Master degree in relevant subject of Agriculture / Veterinary faculty with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade 6.50 in 10 point scales) with good academic record.
• Candidates with a Master degree must also have passed NET (National Eligibility Test) and have one publication in a NAAS rated referred journal in the disciplines in which NET is conducted.
• Ph.D. holders may be exempted from NET if the Ph.D. was done with course work as prescribed by UGC Regulation 2009 and the candidate has at least two full length publications with a NAAS rating of not less than 4 on the last date of submission of application. A Ph.D. without course work does not qualify for the NET exemption.

If no candidates meet these criteria, the university may consider candidates with a PG degree in the relevant subject. With the competent authority's approval, they would be paid per day and engaged for one academic session only.

Selection Process

Candidates are selected through a walk-in interview at the College of Agriculture, Raipur, IGKV (C.G.). The date and time of the interview will be notified on the university website. Bring all your original documents for verification on the interview day. Candidates who do not bring them cannot appear in the interview. No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview.

Service Conditions

• The Guest Faculty post is purely temporary. Selected candidates cannot claim a regular appointment on any post advertised by Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, on the basis of this experience.
• The appointment lasts one year, or until a regular faculty member is posted in the subject, whichever is earlier.
• Guest Faculty perform duties in research, teaching, examination, laboratory, sports, cultural activities and other assignments given from time to time.
• If a selected candidate's performance is found unsatisfactory, the services can be withdrawn with one week's notice. A candidate whose credentials are found to be wrong will be removed from the rolls.
• Selected candidates must submit an affidavit on judicial stamp paper of Rs. 50/- to the Dean, College of Agriculture and Research Station, Gariaband (C.G.)-493992. The affidavit records agreement with the terms and conditions, in the format prescribed by IGKV.
