Local Cadre Condition
Only candidates who belong to the local cadre are eligible. Under the Presidential Order 2018, 95% of the posts in each unit of appointment are reserved for local candidates and 5% are unreserved.

Selection Process
There is no written test. The District Selection Committee, Rajanna Sircilla selects candidates on merit, out of 100 marks:

Age weightage is counted from age 18. Each completed year earns 0.5 marks, up to a maximum of 10, with age reckoned as on 01.07.2026. The notice gives three examples: 20 years earns 1.0 mark, 30 years earns 6.0 marks and 38 years earns 10 marks.
