Important Instructions
- CAT 2026 is your entry exam. The route is CAT 2026 on 29 November 2026, and there is no separate application before then. You are also asked to register for CAT with the IIM Calcutta details in your profile, since the institute uses CAT data.
- Selection has three stages. The 2027 process has three stages. One report says CAT carries 56 points in shortlisting and the personal interview (PI) carries 48% of the final selection. Another says PI gets 48% and the CAT score 30% in the final composite. Don’t rely on either figure until you’ve read the official policy.
- Minimum CAT percentile and graduation marks apply. Stage I has a minimum CAT percentile for the 2027-29 batch (CAT 2026 score), and graduation marks thresholds also apply. Meeting the minimum doesn’t guarantee a shortlist.
- Final-year students can apply, with a deadline. The final-year degree certificate submission deadline is 30 June 2027. If you’re still in your final year, plan your result timing around it.
- Overseas applicants have a separate GMAT route. It needs a GMAT total of at least 735 with at least 89 in Verbal, Quantitative and Data Insights; the application fee is USD 150 and the last date is 1 February 2027. Shortlists are expected in the first week of January 2027, so watch your registered email.
