Eligibility Criteria
Project Research Scientist-II (09 positions)
- 1st class Post Graduate Degree (MSc/MTech/MBA, etc.), including integrated PG degrees, with three years post-qualification experience OR PhD
- Demonstrated relevant experience through publications in the specific domain applied for
- Knowledge of analytical software is essential, including one or more of the following: Python, R, MATLAB, ArcGIS/QGIS, STATA, SAS
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific text and present data
- Experience of working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects
- Specific experience requirements by domain:
- Air Pollution Exposure Modelling: Air pollution exposure assessment and modelling
- Chemical Transport Modelling: Chemical Transport Modelling expertise
- Emission Inventory: Emission inventories and source apportionment
- Environmental Epidemiology: Environmental or public health data analysis
- Cell Culture: Prior laboratory experience in mammalian cell culture, transfection, aseptic techniques; Molecular biology techniques including cloning, PCR, QPCR; Biochemistry techniques including protein isolation, immunoblotting, tissue staining techniques and microscopy; Previous experience with high-throughput technologies
Project Research Scientist-III (02 positions)
- 1st class Post Graduate Degree in relevant discipline with five years' experience OR PhD + two years post-qualification experience
- Demonstrate relevant experience through publications and proficiency in one or more analytical software (Python, R, STATA, SAS, MATLAB, ArcGIS/QGIS, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write scientific text and present data
- Experience of working in a research team and contributing ideas for new research projects
Project Technical Support-III (06 positions)
- 1st class Post Graduate Degree in Science/Engineering (4-year UG Degree) in relevant discipline
- Demonstrated relevant experience and familiarity with any analytical software (R / Python / Advanced Excel / GIS tools etc.) will be an advantage
Salary / Stipend
- Project Research Scientist-II: Rs. 67,000/- per month + HRA @ 30%
- Project Research Scientist-III: Rs. 78,000/- per month + HRA @ 30%
- Project Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000/- per month
- Increment @ 5% on initial emoluments after completing two years subject to performance review for all posts
- In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms

- IIT Delhi reserves the right to fix higher criteria for short-listing of eligible candidates from those satisfying advertised qualification and requirement of the project post

- Posts may be downgraded as per discretion of the Selection Committee if none of the candidate is found suitable for the post

- Appointment shall be on contractual basis with consolidated pay, renewable yearly or upto the duration of the project, whichever is earlier
- Appointment is on full-time basis
