Note: Branch allocation viz Executive & Technical (Engineering & Electrical) will be undertaken at Indian Naval Academy. Vacancies are tentative and may be changed depending on availability of training slots.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examination from any recognised Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII)
Essential Qualification: Candidates must have appeared for JEE (Main) - 2025 exam (for B.E/ B. Tech)
Marital Status: Only unmarried men and women candidates are eligible
Nationality: Must fulfill the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India
Additional Requirement: Call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be issued on the basis of JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2025 published by NTA

Selection Process
Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) - 2025
All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application
SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from Mar 2026 onwards
Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS
All candidates recommended by SSB are required to undergo medical examination applicable to 10+2 (B. Tech) entry
Merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks
Candidates declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies
AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission
General Information/Instructions
Only one application can be filled by a candidate. In case of multiple applications, candidature will be cancelled
Change of SSB Centre for examination/interview is not permissible under any circumstances
Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from Naval Headquarters via SMS/email
No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews
The maximum permissible vacancy that can be allotted to women cadets is 07, subject to the condition that they should feature in the common merit list
Mere inclusion of candidates in the common merit list does not confer upon them a vested right to appointment
All vacancies are to be filled as per service requirement and as per statutory guidelines issued in this regard from time to time
The application once submitted will be final and no request for amendments/change will be entertained
Candidature will be cancelled if any declaration is found wrong at any stage of selection
Only unmarried candidates are eligible for training. Any candidate who is found to be married or marries while under training will be discharged from service
Use/possession of narcotics is banned. Candidate may be tested for presence of drugs in the body during SSB selection/medicals/training and subsequently during service
Application is subject to subsequent scrutiny and can be rejected if found ineligible/invalid at any point of time
There is no relaxation in medical standards on any grounds
Change of medical hospital/centre is not permissible under any circumstances

Training
Selected candidates will be inducted as Cadets for the four years B. Tech Course at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala
Courses offered: Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering as per Naval requirements
On completion of the course, B. Tech Degree will be awarded by the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU)
Distribution of cadets amongst Executive and Technical Branch (Engineering & Electrical) will be as per the extant policy
The entire cost of training, including books and reading material, will be borne by the Indian Navy
The cadets will also be provided with entitled clothing and messing

To save time during the application submission window, candidates can fill in their details and upload documents in advance under their user profile
Correct personal particulars details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate/12th class certificate
Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled
All relevant documents (preferably in original) should be scanned in original JPG/TIFF format for attaching while filling up the application
Required documents: Date of Birth proof (as per 10th/12th certificates), 10th class marksheet, 12th class marksheet, JEE(Main)-2025 Score card indicating Common Rank List (CRL) and a recent passport size colour photograph
Candidates are to take print out of application and carry it along with original certificates/documents while appearing for SSB interview
If any scanned document is not legible/readable for any reason the application will be rejected
