Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Geology, Earth Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline from a recognised university; Valid NET or GATE qualification (mandatory)
- Experience: Desirable: experience in environmental sample collection and preparation, trace metal analysis, analytical instrumentation (AAS/ICP-MS/ICP-OES), environmental geochemistry, or human exposure assessment
- Age limit: Maximum 30 years
- Age relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PWD As allowed following Government of India rules
Other conditions:
- Valid NET or GATE qualification is mandatory
Desirable:
- Experience in environmental sample collection and preparation, trace metal analysis or analytical instrumentation (AAS/ICP-MS/ICP-OES)
- Experience in environmental geochemistry or human exposure assessment
- Previous research experience, fieldwork experience and publications in relevant areas are additional advantages
Pay and Terms of Engagement
- Duration three years, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of project funds
- Initial appointment for one year; may be extended based on performance and project requirements
- Purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
- No claim for regular appointment or absorption at Jadavpur University
