Ministry of Ayush Young Professional 2026 Vacancy Details

The total number of Young Professionals proposed to be engaged on contract basis in the Ministry of Ayush is 06, subject to changes as decided by the Ministry. These positions form a panel of Young Professionals for various functional areas in the Ministry on a purely contractual basis.

Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Ayush Young Professional 2026

1. Educational Qualification

Candidates must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Essential: Bachelor degree in a relevant subject or technical qualifications such as B.Tech, MBA or equivalent in relevant field/subject.
• Desirable: Masters / M.Phil / Ph.D or MD with research experience, published papers and working experience in the relevant field.
• The candidate should have good command over writing English or Hindi, good working knowledge of technology-based skills on the computer and ability to work on ICT applications.
• Candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

2. Age Limit

The age conditions for Young Professional engagement are:

• Maximum Age: Below 32 years of age as on 1st July 2026 (01/07/2026).
• Age Relaxation: Criteria may be relaxed in exceptional cases based on justification in the interest of Government with the approval of Secretary (Ayush), as per guidelines.
• Age calculation date: 01 July of the year of advertisement (01/07/2026).

3. Other Eligibility & Attributes

• Young Professionals are expected to provide high quality professional inputs in areas like AYUSH Systems, Budget, Finance, AYUSH Education, Public Health & Infrastructure, Commerce & Trade, Marketing & Export Promotion of Medicinal Plants, Skill Development, IT, Media and related domains.
• Candidates must demonstrate proven academic credentials, professional achievements and leadership qualities.

Selection Process for Ministry of Ayush Young Professional 2026

The selection of Young Professionals will follow the procedure and guidelines notified by the Ministry of Ayush:

• Short-listing of applications based on eligibility criteria and requirements of various divisions as per Terms of Reference.
• Short-listed candidates will undergo the recruitment process as per Ministry guidelines and requirements.
• Final selection will be based on merit as decided by the Selection Committee.
• Applications will be scrutinized by a Screening Committee; shortlisted applications will be sent to concerned divisions to recommend a panel (with waitlist, if required).
• A Performance Appraisal Board (PAB) chaired by Joint Secretary (Admn.) will appraise work and performance for extension beyond the first year.

• Engagement is purely on contract basis and is of the nature of fee-based consultancy; it does not constitute employment or regular appointment.
• Initial engagement period is one year, extendable subject to functional requirements and satisfactory performance, with one-day break between extensions.
• Young Professionals will not be entitled to DA, transport facility, residential accommodation, CGHS, medical reimbursement or any other allowance apart from consolidated remuneration.
• Place of work will be Ministry of Ayush offices at Ayush Bhawan, GPO Complex, INA, New Delhi – 110023 or Office Block 3, NBCC Building, East Kidwai Nagar, New Delhi – 110023.
• Working hours will be normal office timings; Young Professionals may be required to work on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays and beyond office hours in case of urgency and must mark attendance in AEBAS.
• They will be entitled to 12 days leave in a calendar year; un-availed leave cannot be carried forward or encashed, and no remuneration is payable beyond admissible leave.
• Young Professionals must maintain absolute confidentiality and secrecy of information and sign a non-disclosure undertaking; all IPR and data will remain with the Ministry.
• They shall not claim any benefit/compensation/absorption/regularization under any Act and must give a bond that engagement does not confer any right for regularization.
• Engagement is subject to police verification; criteria may be relaxed in exceptional cases with approval of Secretary (Ayush).

Salary/Stipend for Ministry of Ayush Young Professional 2026

• Post: Young Professional
• Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 40,000/- (consolidated).
• Annual Increment: Up to 5% increase in remuneration per year, subject to satisfactory performance.
• Other Benefits: No DA, transport, residential accommodation, CGHS, medical reimbursement or other allowances are admissible.
