Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Warden (Male): B.A. / B.Sc. from recognised university. At least two years in hostel management.
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper (Male): Must have passed HSC Examination from recognised board.
• Head Cook (Male): No specific educational qualification mentioned; preference & due weightage to individuals trained in cookery.
• Assistant Cook (Male): No specific educational qualification mentioned; preference & due weightage to individuals trained in cookery.
• All posts are for Boys' Hostel and only male candidates can apply.
• Preference will be given to local candidates preferably from the block area. If not available, then from other adjacent blocks of Mayurbhanj district.
• Warden, Head Cook and Assistant Cook must be in position to stay in the hostel 24×7.
• Head Cook and Assistant Cook must be well conversant to use LPG, maintain perfect hygiene in dresses while cooking, have good cooking habits, and ability to cook dishes on time with care towards hygiene and deliciousness.
• Retired Teachers (if willing, physically & mentally sound, within age limit of 62 years) may apply for Warden post.

Salary/ Stipend

• Warden: Rs 21,175/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer)
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper: Rs 7,500/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer)
• Head Cook: Rs 9,000/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer)
• Assistant Cook: Rs 6,750/- per month (including EPF share of Employee & Employer)

Age Limit (as on the Date of Advertisement)

• Warden: 30 to 60 years (up to 62 years for retired teachers)
• Chowkidar-cum-Sweeper: 21 to 32 years
• Head Cook: 30 to 40 years
• Assistant Cook: 21 to 32 years

General Information / Instructions

• On expiry of one year period of engagement, fresh engagement shall be made with a gap of at least one working day basing on satisfactory performance.
• Preference shall be given to local candidates. If not available in locality, then block will be taken as unit. If still not available, candidates from nearby blocks may be selected.
• No candidates outside of the district should be recruited.
• The authority reserves the right to cancel the advertisement either partly or fully and any application without assigning any reason thereof.

• Last date of receiving application is 22 January 2026 by 5 PM.
• Applications received after due date shall be summarily rejected.
