Selection Process
- The Selection will be based on the merit list prepared on marks obtained by the candidates in the Final Year Examination of diploma (i.e. aggregate of all years) and Document Verification followed by Medical Examination and Police Verification Report.
- In Case of CGPA/SGPA grading, Candidates must produce relevant documents from their School/College/University to calculate the equivalent percentage of marks, in the absence of this, candidate will be disqualified.
- There shall be NO Test or Interview for Selection.
General Information/Instructions
- In view of non availability of candidates in allotted subject fields, in order to fulfil the quota, the Apprentices will be engaged in available subject fields, provided availability of training facilities in O.F. Bhandara in that subject fields.
- When the prescribed number of persons belonging either to the Scheduled Castes or to the Scheduled Tribes are not available, the training places so reserved for them may be filled by persons belonging to the Scheduled Tribes or as the case may be, to the Scheduled Castes and if the prescribed training places cannot be filled even in the above given manner, then the training places so lying unfilled may be filled by persons not belonging to the Scheduled Castes or the Scheduled Tribes.
- When the prescribed number of training places cannot be filled from the Other Backward Classes, then the training places so lying unfilled may be filled by persons not belonging to the Other Backward Classes.
- To undergo Apprenticeship Training, the minimum age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit. However, the candidates between the age of 14-18 years are not eligible to sign the Contracts being the minor. Their Contracts are required to be signed by their Guardians.
- Diploma holder who had training or job experience for a period of one year or more, after the attainment of these qualifications, shall not be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice under the Act.
- No Sandwich Course student shall be eligible for being engaged as an apprentices under the act after passing the final examination of the technical Institution wherein such student is undergoing the course, unless so approved by the Regional Central Apprenticeship Advisers.
- A person who has been a Graduate or Technician apprentice under the Act and in whose case the contract of apprenticeship was terminated for any reason whatsoever shall not be eligible for being engaged as an apprentice again under the Act without the prior approval of the Apprenticeship Adviser.
- Candidates who have completed Graduate/ Post Graduate Qualification are not eligible for Apprenticeship Training.
- A Candidate is not eligible to undergo apprenticeship training if the gap is more than five years. Candidates who have completed Diploma before 1st February 2021, shall not be eligible for Apprenticeship Training.
- Selected candidates will have to enter into a contract with the employer which will be registered by Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT, WR, Mumbai) for the period of training under apprenticeship Act, 1961 (Amendment in 1973, 2014 & 2019).
- The candidate has to give a Declaration that he has not undergone Apprenticeship Training anywhere, under the Acts.
- If the gap between the declaration of the result and the commencement of training is less than one year, a self-affidavit is sufficient and if the gap is between one to five years, a Court Affidavit should be submitted in the same format as Declaration at the time of Document Verification.
- Candidate must submit Police Clearance Certificate & Character Certificate signed by two different Gazetted Officers at the time of Document Verification.
- A candidate is not eligible to undergo apprenticeship training if the gap is more than five years.
- On completion of Apprenticeship Training, No employment in the Factory is guaranteed.
- Accommodation may be provided on payment as per Rules subject to availability. Apprentices are entitled for Medical Treatment at O. F. Bhandara as per OFMR.
- Selected candidates report to OFBA in uniform comprising of Plain Navy-Blue Trouser & Plain Sky Colour Shirt.
- Incomplete/Incorrect/Related applications shall be rejected.
- Application in the prescribed format only accepted.
- Applications received in Ordnance Factory Bhandara (Unit of MIL) after 15th December 2025 for any reason what so ever, it may be including delay by Post Office will not be entertained.
- A caution MUST be noted by all candidates that some unscrupulous elements may approach the candidates with assurance of procuring engagement for Apprenticeship training or guarantee of job after training for them in Ordnance Factory Bhandara through illegal gratification. The candidates MUST not fall prey to any such false assurance or exploitation and MUST not entertain or encourage such elements in any way. The Factory shall NOT be responsible in any manner whatsoever if a candidate succumbs to such tactics by anybody at any stage.
- Envelope containing the application should be superscripted with the words "Application for Technician Apprenticeship Training in O.F. Bhandara."
- Candidates must attach the following documents with the application :- (i) Diploma and Final Year Consolidated Mark Sheet (Both Side Print). (ii) Aadhaar Card. (iii) Age proof Certificate (Preferably SSC Certificate). (iv) Central Caste Certificate of SC, ST, OBC (NCL) & Recent Valid Non Creamy Layer Certificate (In case of OBC candidates). (v) PwBD Certificate (if applicable) (vi) Declaration/Affidavit. (vii) In Case of CGPA/SGPA grading, Candidates must produce relevant documents from their School/College/University to calculate the equivalent percentage of marks.
