RGSSH Senior Resident Recruitment 2025 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• A medical qualification included in the I or II schedule or part II of the third schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956; candidates with qualifications in part II of the third schedule must also fulfill the conditions specified in section 13(3) of the Act.
• OR MBBS degree from a recognized institute by the Indian Medical Council.
• Post Graduate Degree in broad or super speciality i.e. DM/MCh./MD/MS/DNB/PG Diploma in the relevant field, as applicable for the concerned department.
• Must not have completed 03 years of Senior Residency in any recognized institute (central or state government hospital, autonomous institute), including regular and adhoc period.
• Candidates must have a valid registration certificate from Delhi Medical Council OR must have applied for DMC with proper acknowledgement at the time of interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Departmental candidates/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability etc. will be as per Govt. of India/DoPT/ Govt. of NCT of Delhi instructions.
• In case of non-availability of suitable candidates as per the scheme, relaxations as per relevant circulars of Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi will apply (including upper age limit up to 45 years and consideration of candidates who have completed 3 years SR in some cases).
• In case of non-availability of fresh candidates with PG Degree/Diploma, candidates having two years’ experience as Junior Resident in the concerned speciality / super speciality may be considered.
• Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 37 years for Senior Resident as per main condition.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Departmental candidates/Ex-Servicemen/Persons with Disability etc. as per Govt. of India/DoPT/ Govt. of NCT of Delhi rules.
• Under relaxation provisions, upper age limit for eligibility may be considered up to 45 years as per Health & Family Welfare Department circulars.

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs.6,600/- + NPA.
• Pay Level: Level 11 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on walk-in interview.
• A merit list of selected and wait-listed candidates will be prepared based on the walk-in interview.
• The merit list will be published on the RGSSH website and on the website of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of NCT of Delhi.
• No other mode of communication regarding selection will be used.
• Senior Residents may be assigned duties in the Emergency Department as and when required in case of exigency.

How To Apply

• Candidates have to appear for walk-in interview as per the schedule given in the advertisement.
• Applicant must bring the filled application form in the prescribed format (as attached in the notification) in neat and clean manner.
• Candidates must carry original documents along with a set of self-attested photocopies of all required documents on the date of interview.
• No candidate will be allowed to appear in the interview without filling the application form.

• The number of vacant posts is provisional and subject to change without notice.
• The contract can be terminated on either side by giving 07 days’ notice or by paying salary of the equivalent period.
• In case of unsatisfactory work, conduct issues or disciplinary grounds, the contract can be terminated immediately.
• Recruitment is for 44 days on Adhoc basis; further extension will depend on performance and joining of fresh regular candidates.
• The selection shall be as per the Memorandum of Association (MOA) of Rajiv Gandhi Super Speciality Hospital Society and Govt. Residency Scheme.
• The number of posts in various categories can increase or decrease at the time of final selection as per hospital requirement.
• Priority will be given to reserved category candidates if applying for Senior Resident as a special drive.
• Candidature under age relaxation will be governed by rules; relevant category certificates must be issued on or before the last date of application.
• The Director, RGSSH, reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment/advertisement at any stage.
