The Commission has released the category-wise number of candidates shortlisted for the Havaldar Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST), based on performance in the Computer Based Examination. Candidates have been shortlisted in a 1:7 vacancy ratio for the next stage.

Note: The 3,136 UR-shortlisted figure includes 300 EWS, 105 SC, 25 ST, and 1,574 OBC candidates who qualified at the UR cut off level.

How Was the SSC MTS 2025-26 Tie Resolved?

SSC followed a fixed tie-breaking sequence wherever two or more candidates secured identical marks:

1. Candidates with higher normalized General Awareness marks in Session-II were ranked higher.
2. If the tie remained, total normalized marks in Session-I were compared.
3. If still tied, the older candidate (by date of birth) was ranked higher.
4. If the tie persisted, candidates were ranked in alphabetical order of name.
