Essential Qualification: Master’s Degree (M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Technology / Production Engineering / Material Science / Metallurgy / Aerospace Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Ocean and Naval Architecture / Applied Mechanics / Civil Engineering, or any allied area.
The candidates having research experience will be given preference.
Salary/Stipend
Emolument: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) only + HRA as admissible per month.
Duration: Up to 18/10/2026 or until further order, whichever is earlier, which may be extended further based on the status of the project.
Age Limit
Candidates shall not be more than 35 years of age on the last date of receipt of application.
Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Selection Process
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview.
Shortlisted candidates are required to appear before the interview board physically along with all original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, certificates from 10th standard onwards, caste certificate (if applicable), experience certificate (if any), any other testimonials, copy of recent signed Curriculum Vitae (CV) and duly filled in application in Annexure-I.
Original documents of the candidates will be verified by the Selection Committee.

Applications in prescribed format (Annexure-I) are invited for the temporary position of one Project Associate-I in the IITG-TIDF sponsored research project entitled “Experimental characteristics and thermo-mechanical analysis of underwater friction stir welded AI Alloys for submerged marine applications”.
The position is under the Principal Investigator Dr. Prabin Haloi, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tezpur University, Tezpur, Napaam - 784028, Assam.
Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
