Eligibility Criteria

Qualifications:

• Junior Research Associate (Tariff): Graduate degree in Commerce/Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/Business Operations/Business Administration/Business Management/Business Studies/Management Studies/Statistics/Actuarial Science/Econometrics/Mathematical Statistics OR CA/CMA/CWA.
• Consultant (Tariff): MBA/Post Graduate Diploma/Post Graduate Program/Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration/Business Management/Business Studies/Management Studies/Management/Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Actuarial Science/Econometrics/Mathematical Statistics/Quantitative Economics/Mathematical Economics/Financial Economics/Business Economics/Industrial Economics etc. OR CA/CMA/CWA.
• Junior Consultant (Regulatory): Graduate degree in any discipline.

Desirable:

• Junior Research Associate (Tariff): Experience in handling Tariff Regulatory/Economic Regulatory/Financial Regulatory/Infrastructure regulatory matters.
• Consultant (Tariff): Experience in handling Tariff Regulatory/Economic Regulatory/Financial Regulatory/Infrastructure regulatory matters.
• Junior Consultant (Regulatory): Experience in Infrastructure Regulatory matters.

Experience:

• Junior Research Associate (Tariff): Minimum Two Years’ post qualification experience in data handling/cleaning and preparation of data/data mining/data exploration/data analysis/statistical analysis/statistical modelling/data visualization, etc.
• Consultant (Tariff): Minimum Five Years’ post qualification experience in financial analysis/financial planning/preparation of financial statements/analysis or evaluation of capital structure/financial modelling/economic modelling/data analysis/data modelling/economic modelling/statistics, etc.
• Junior Consultant (Regulatory): Minimum Three Years’ post qualification experience in handling Tariff Regulatory/Economic Regulatory/Financial Regulatory matters.

Salary/Stipend

• Junior Research Associate (Tariff): Rs. 75,000/- P.M., with annual increment of 6% of the consolidated remuneration subject to satisfactory performance.
• Consultant (Tariff): Rs. 1,00,000/- P.M., with annual increment of 6% of the consolidated remuneration subject to satisfactory performance.
• Junior Consultant (Regulatory): Rs. 75,000/- P.M., with annual increment of 6% of the consolidated remuneration subject to satisfactory performance.

Age Limit (as on 07-01-2026)

• Junior Research Associate (Tariff): Not more than 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
• Consultant (Tariff): Not more than 45 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
• Junior Consultant (Regulatory): Not more than 35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

• Through interview and/or group discussion.

General Information/Instructions

• Tenure: Initial 2 years, extendable up to 3 more years based on requirement and performance.
• Shifting/Transfer: Possible to other divisions at competent authority's discretion; no right/claim over specific facilities.
• Other Assignments: Not permitted during engagement; purely contractual, terminable anytime.
• Leave: 12 days casual leave per year (pro-rata); no carry forward/encashment; may require work on Saturdays/Sundays/holidays without extra pay (compensatory off for Sunday work); max 15 days leave without pay per year (excess may lead to termination).
• Travel: Domestic tours possible; reimbursement for Junior Research Associate (Tariff): Air economy/rail AC Two Tier, hotel up to Rs. 2250/- per day, taxi up to Rs. 338/- per day, food up to Rs. 900/- per day. Similar for other positions (details aligned).
• No Compensation: For death/injury/illness during duty.
• Termination: By AERA with 2 months' notice (or proportionate pay in lieu); without notice for performance/breach. Consultant must give 2 months' notice or pay in lieu. Terminates at tenure end if not extended; no work certificate if terminated before 1 year.
• Legal Status: Independent contractor, not employee; disputes settled amicably, decision of authority final.
• Confidentiality: IPR of data/deliverables with AERA; no publication/utilization without consent; handover records before expiry.
• Use of Name/Emblem: Prohibited without permission.
• Place of Posting: New Delhi.
• Health: Must be in good health.
• Number of Posts: Liable to change without notice.
• General: Candidate responsible for true information; agrees to terms; application must confirm essential requirements.
