Essential Qualification and Experience

Candidates need one of the following:

• Three Years Graduate degree in Medical Microbiology/ Life Sciences/ Epidemiology/ Public Health + Two years experience in relevant subject
• OR 12th in Science + Diploma (DMLT or equivalent) + Five Years Experience in Medical Microbiology/ Microbiology/ Life Sciences

Qualifications obtained through distance education will not be considered.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in the health sector, ICMR, AIIMS, NHM, CTD, NACO, etc., or in scientific departments or organisations, with experience in project management
• Prior involvement in Hospital Infection Control/AMP/AMSP research projects
• Prior experience in training or coordinating Infection Prevention Control (IPC) programs
• Experience in coordinating and conducting IPC trainings and audits
• Basic knowledge of data analysis platforms such as Excel, SPSS and Epi Info
• Knowledge of computer applications or Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft Excel and PPT

Job Description

• Completing any work assigned by the PI and Co-PI so that the project runs smoothly
• Coordinating project work across ICMR, AIIMS Delhi and 10 secondary care hospitals
• Teaching nursing and lab staff about all relevant project activities
• Making data entries in the project forms
• Organising workshops and awareness programmes
• Preparing project reports and handling project documents
• Writing research articles for publication in reputed journals

Selection Process

• The selection committee will check the applications it receives.
• Recruitment will be made through an interview. A written test will be held if there are more than 50 eligible candidates for the post.
• Selection is purely on merit.
• The interview is held in person only. Requests for an online interview will not be considered.
• No separate communication will be sent to candidates. Selected candidates will be informed by email.

Service Conditions

• The appointment is purely contractual and is first given for 1.5 months.
• If performance is satisfactory, the PI may recommend extending the contract until the project ends.
• The post is not on the AIIMS Bibinagar payroll. Employment ends automatically when the contract term is over.
• Candidates have no claim to permanent employment at AIIMS Bibinagar or with the principal investigator.
