About the Project and the Role

The HTAIn Resource Centre aims to:

• Build HTA capacity for individuals, institutions and governments.
• Provide technical assistance on HTA to state governments and MoHFW.
• Complete HTA studies assigned by the DHR, MoHFW.
• Publish systematic reviews, scientific papers, policy briefs and communication materials for stakeholders.
• Present HTA findings at national and international forums.

Key Responsibilities

• Evidence synthesis: Conduct targeted and systematic reviews, develop protocols, run search strategies, appraise quality, synthesize data and perform meta-analysis.
• Costing and economic evaluation: Collect and analyze cost data, develop economic evaluation protocols and decision-analytic models with sensitivity analysis, validation and calibration, and collect and analyze model input data.
• Research and data: Contribute to other assigned HTA research, conduct basic statistical analysis, collect data and supervise data collection sites.
• Training and workshop: Develop training agendas and communication materials, ensure successful delivery of training, and contribute to teaching and training.
• Reporting and dissemination: Prepare project reports, manuscripts and policy briefs, and present at conferences, workshops and meetings.
• Other duties: Perform other tasks assigned by the PI/Co-PI.

Age Limit

The age limit is up to 40 years. Age, educational qualification and experience will be considered till the last date of the advertisement.

Essential Qualification

Candidates need any one of the following:

• MBBS/BDS with 6 years' experience, or Post Graduate Diploma in medical subjects after MBBS/BDS with 5 years' experience in the relevant field.
• Post Graduate (MD/MS/DNB/MPH/MDS) after MBBS/BDS with 4 years' research experience in the relevant field.
• MPH/Master in any branch of Life Science/Master in Health Economics or a related discipline/MHA/M. Pharm with 4 years of experience in the relevant field.

Essential Experience

• Capability of undertaking systematic reviews and/or developing decision analysis models.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in conducting HTA or health economics-related research.

Essential Publication Record

Candidates must have published, in peer-reviewed journals, at least one systematic review and/or meta-analysis and/or HTA study as first author, or more than two as co-author.

Desirable Qualification and Experience

• PhD in the relevant subject (Community Medicine, Preventive and Social Medicine, Pediatrics, Medicine, Tropical Medicine, Community Health Administration, Health administration, Family Medicine, Epidemiology or Public Health), or PhD in Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology from a recognized institute(s).
• Knowledge of Computer Applications, IT tools, statistical tools, etc.
• Knowledge of computer tools like Canva/Bio-render, Rayyan/Covidence, Rob2, Robins, RevMan and EndNote/Zotero, and statistical software like SPSS, STATA, R and TreeAge.
• Detailed knowledge of PRISMA, CONSORT, STROBE, CHEERS and similar guidelines.
• 1-2 publications in peer-reviewed journals of systematic review and/or meta-analysis and/or HTA study.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• All educational, professional and technical qualifications should be from a recognized Board/University and be full-time.
• The required experience should be acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications for the post.

Age concession to the extent of service rendered in other research projects may be admissible for experienced and skilled persons on a case-by-case basis.
