AISSEE 2026 Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

To make the most of the answer key, understand how scores are calculated. There is no negative marking in AISSEE.

Class 6 Exam Pattern (Total: 300 Marks)

  • Mathematics: 50 questions × 3 marks = 150 marks
  • General Knowledge (Science + Social Studies): 25 questions × 2 marks = 50 marks
  • Language (English/Hindi/Regional): 25 questions × 2 marks = 50 marks
  • Intelligence Test: 25 questions × 2 marks = 50 marks

Class 9 Exam Pattern (Total: 400 Marks)

  • Mathematics: 50 questions × 4 marks = 200 marks
  • English: 25 questions × 4 marks = 100 marks
  • General Science: 25 questions × 4 marks = 100 marks
  • Social Studies: 25 questions × 4 marks = 100 marks

How to Calculate Your Score: Add up marks for correct answers only (based on the provisional key). This gives a good estimate of your performance ahead of the final result.

What Happens After the Answer Key? Results, Merit List & Counselling

Once the objection window closes, NTA will release the final answer key and prepare results.

  • Result Date: Expected in March 2026.
  • Scorecard: Download using Application Number + DOB/Password.
  • Merit List: Released school-wise and category-wise.
  • Counselling: Through the All India Sainik Schools Admission Counselling (AISSAC) portal at pesa.ncog.gov.in. Registration is already live for qualified candidates.
