Duties of the Verbal and Communication Trainer
- Train students in verbal and communication skills, covering vocabulary-building, grammar, syllogisms, critical reasoning and comprehension.
- Encourage and motivate students to communicate fluently and confidently.
- Prepare students for higher-study exams such as CAT and GRE, and train them in special skills like public speaking and debate.
- Conduct exams regularly and give immediate feedback, so students can rate their progress and identify weak areas.
- Give training based on industry requirements, so students can face placement tests.
- Be ready to imbibe new technology-based training.
- Identify students who lack communication skills and give them special training to overcome their limitations.
- Provide career counselling and guidance, and record the data in the required formats.
- Actively participate and contribute in the special training drives organised by CIR for Amrita students.
- Stay updated on university accreditation requirements under CIR's learning and development activities.
- Contribute to periodic curriculum revisions in verbal and communication skills, in line with current industry requirements.
- Keep students' knowledge current by sharing the latest question papers, vocabulary-building techniques and newly coined words through the Amrita University Management System (AUMS) software.
