AMU Assistant Professor (Contractual) Eligibility Criteria 2026
- Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade) in CHINESE from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University.
- Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET, OR have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum standard and Procedure for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. degree) regulations, 2009 or 2016.
- Candidates registered for Ph.D. prior to July 11, 2009, are exempted from NET/SLET/SET if their Ph.D. was awarded in a regular mode, thesis evaluated by two external examiners, Open Ph.D. Viva-Voce conducted, two research papers published from Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal), and at least two papers presented in UGC/ICSSR/CSIR sponsored seminars/conferences.
- Ph.D. Degree obtained from a foreign University/Institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (QS, THE, or ARWU).
