Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Bachelor of Planning / Post Graduate Diploma Course in Remote Sensing and GIS (Specialization in Urban and Regional Studies) / Master in Planning / Master in Town Planning / Master in Regional Planning / Master in Urban Planning / Master in City Planning / Master in Country Planning or equivalent qualification.
Salary / Stipend
- Pay Level-7 (Revised).
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)
- Minimum: 21 years.
- Maximum: Unreserved (Male) – 37 years, BC/EBC (Male & Female) & Unreserved (Female) – 40 years, SC/ST (Male & Female) – 42 years.
- Relaxations: Bihar Govt. employees – 05 years (with conditions), PwBD – 10 years extra, Ex-Servicemen – 03 years + service rendered (max age 57 years), special relaxation for certain candidates from 01.08.2022 to 01.08.2025.

- Additional Biometric fee: 200/- if Aadhaar number not provided in online application.

Selection Process
- Written Examination (only) – Two papers: General Studies (Objective, 125 questions, 100 marks, 02 hours) + Optional Paper (Planning OR Remote Sensing & GIS (Specialization in Urban & Regional Studies), Objective, 125 questions, 100 marks, 02 hours). Total 200 marks.
- Minimum qualifying marks: UR – 40%, BC – 36.5%, EBC – 34%, SC/ST/Women/PwBD – 32%.
- Document Verification after written exam.
- Merit list based on written exam marks; tie-breaker: Optional paper marks → Age (older first) → Name in Devanagari alphabetical order.
- No interview. No re-evaluation provision.

- Reservation benefits only for Bihar domiciles with valid certificates (issued on or before last date of application).
- All claims verified during Document Verification; candidature provisional and liable to cancellation if false.
- 35% horizontal reservation for Bihar domiciled women.
- 4% horizontal reservation for PwBD (benchmark disability).
- Certificates must be from competent authority; married women certificates in father's name for certain categories.
