Ex-Servicemen: 3 years plus actual service period relaxation (maximum age on cut-off date should not exceed 57 years)

Selection Process
Stage 1 - Preliminary Examination: 200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours duration covering General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Minimum 30% marks required. Candidates selected will be 20 times the number of vacancies category-wise
Stage 2 - Main Examination: Two papers
Paper I: General Hindi - 200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours (Qualifying - 30% minimum, marks not counted in merit)
Paper II: General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics and Mental Aptitude - 200 marks, 100 questions, 2 hours
Stage 3 - Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates selected will be 6 times the vacancies based on Main Exam marks
Running: 1 mile (1.6 km) in 6 minutes 30 seconds for men; 1 km in 6 minutes for women
High Jump: Minimum 4 feet for men; 3 feet for women
Long Jump: Minimum 12 feet for men; 9 feet for women
Shot Put: 16 pounds shot minimum 16 feet for men; 12 pounds shot minimum 10 feet for women
Maximum 3 attempts allowed for High Jump, Long Jump and Shot Put
Negative Marking: 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in both stages
Final Merit List: Based on Main Examination marks with minimum qualifying marks - SC/ST/Women: 32%, EBC: 34%, BC: 36.5%, General: 40%
Normalization: Equi-Percentile Method will be used for multi-session/multi-set examinations

Height Requirements:
Unreserved (UR) and BC Male: Minimum 165 cm
EBC, SC, ST Male: Minimum 160 cm
All category Females: Minimum 155 cm
Chest Measurement (Male only):
UR/BC/EBC Male: Unexpanded - 81 cm, Expanded - 86 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion required)
SC/ST Male: Unexpanded - 79 cm, Expanded - 84 cm (minimum 5 cm expansion required)
Not applicable for females
Weight: Minimum 48 kg for all category female candidates
Third Gender: Physical standards same as Backward Class category
Candidates not meeting prescribed standards will be declared unsuccessful
