What to Do After CCMT Round 1 Seat Allotment 2026?
Once the result is out, candidates must take action promptly. Here is everything you need to do after checking your allotment.
Once the seat is allocated, candidates must complete their online reporting process within the deadline. They will have to pay their seat acceptance fee and choose one of the available willingness options.
After reviewing the allotment, candidates must select one of the following three options:
Option 1 : Freeze
If you are fully satisfied with the allotted seat, choose Freeze. This confirms your admission to the allotted institute and branch. Once candidates freeze the option, they do not participate in subsequent rounds of counselling for seat upgradation.
Option 2 - Float
Choose Float if you want to retain your current allotment but also wish to be considered for a higher-preference choice in upcoming rounds. If a better seat is available in Round 2 or 3, it will be automatically upgraded; otherwise, the current seat is retained.
Option 3 - Slide
Choose Slide if you want to be upgraded to a better branch within the same institute in subsequent rounds. Your current seat is retained if no upgrade is available.
Option 4 - Surrender
Candidates can also surrender the currently allotted seat and participate only in the next round for better-preferred choices. However, a warning applies: if no seat is allotted in the next round, the surrendered seat is permanently lost.
Documents Required for CCMT 2026 Seat Acceptance
Candidates must keep the following documents ready for upload during the seat acceptance process:

CCMT 2026 Round 1 Cutoff - What to Expect
The Round 1 cutoff represents the minimum GATE score needed to secure admission to a specific institute and branch combination.
Along with the seat allotment, official opening and closing CCMT Round 1 cutoff scores for all participating institutes will be uploaded at ccmt.admissions.nic.in. The cutoff will be released for top NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, and other participating institutes in the form of opening and closing GATE scores. The CCMT 2026 Round 1 cutoff will depend on factors such as GATE score difficulty, total CCMT 2026 seat matrix, and the preferences locked by candidates.
