Four YP-II (Young Professional) posts are open in the Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding, CCS HAU, Hisar, at Rs. 42,000 per month fixed. The application, on the attached proforma (Annexure-A), must be received in the office of the Professor & Head (Genetics & Plant Breeding), CCS HAU, Hisar by 20 November 2026 up to 10:00 A.M. The YP-II posts sit in the Cotton Section of the Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding at CCS HAU, Hisar, a university. Where and How to Send

The application must be made on the proforma attached to the notification (Annexure-A, "Application form for the post of SRF/YP-II and YP-I"). Write "YP-II" against "Application for the position of" at the top of the form.

Send the application, complete in all respects, to: Office of the Professor & Head (Genetics & Plant Breeding), Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding, CCS HAU, Hisar.

The application must reach this office by 20 November 2026 up to 10:00 A.M. No application received after that will be entertained for any reason. The notice does not mention the postal mode (speed post, registered post or by hand) or any wording for the envelope.

The Annexure-A form asks for:

• Full name (in block letters), father's name, date of birth and age as on the interview date
• Permanent address with PIN code, mobile number, e-mail address, sex, marital status and category (SC/ST/OBC/General)
• Educational qualifications from Matriculation to Ph.D., with board/university, year of passing, maximum marks, marks obtained and percentage
• Whether NET qualified, and knowledge of computer (certificate/diploma/degree)
• Working or professional experience, if any, and details of publications (only published/accepted research papers)
• A brief note on how you can contribute to the present project, professional achievements if any, and the signed declaration

Posts, Eligibility and Pay

There are four YP-II posts in the discipline of Genetics & Plant Breeding. The pay is Rs. 42,000/- (fixed/consolidated) per month for YP-II. The notice gives no category-wise break-up of the four posts.

Educational Qualification

• Post graduate in the discipline of Genetics & Plant Breeding/Agronomy/Soil Science/Nematology/Entomology/Plant Pathology
• OR graduate degree holder in Agriculture Science

Age Limit

The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum 45 years on the last date of submission of application. A relaxation of 3 years on the maximum age limit will be given to SC/BC etc. candidates.

Allowances and Service Terms

• TA/DA will be payable as per rules of the University.
• The YPs may be deputed on tour by the HOD/PI concerned and will be entitled to reimbursement of conveyance charges/DA equivalent to the entitlement of Grade-IV employees as mentioned in the CCS HAU TA rules.
• Duration of post: up to 31st March 2027 (likely to continue).
• Initial engagement of Young Professionals will be for one year, extendable for two more years (01 year at a time), subject to the requirement of services in the projects and satisfactory performance after evaluation by PI/HOD and final approval by the Director of Research.
• The maximum duration of engagement is three years (1+1+1) or the duration of the research project, whichever is earlier.
• The YP-II will not be a regular employee of the University and will not be entitled to any CPF/GPF or other benefits admissible to regular employees.

• Self-declaration regarding truthfulness in application (the signed declaration on the form)

At the interview, original certificates must be produced/shown. Candidates should also bring certified true copies or original certificates to be submitted to the University.

Selection Process

Selection is by interview. The interview will be held on 21 November 2026 at 9:30 A.M. in the office of the Director of Research, CCS HAU, Hisar. No separate letter for interview will be issued, and no TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• The appointment will be co-terminus with the project. If work and conduct are not found satisfactory, services can be terminated any time after giving due opportunity of being heard.
• A selected candidate who wants to leave can do so after giving one month's notice in writing to the University.
• Services are also liable to be terminated at any time, without assigning any reason, because of non-release of funds by the funding agency.
• On completion of the project, the employee will stand relieved; the University/department will not be responsible for adjustment on any other post.
• A medical certificate of fitness from the CMO of the University is required at the time of joining.
• The selected candidate should report for duty within 10 days of the order of appointment; otherwise the appointment will be treated as cancelled and may be offered to another selected candidate.
• An agreement on non-judicial stamped paper of Rs. 15/- must be executed before joining.
• YPs shall be subject to the laws of secrecy of the country and will sign a declaration of secrecy and Non-Disclosure agreement before reporting (Annexure-I).
• The engagement will not constitute a regular job or appointment of any nature in the University; failure to comply with the Standards of Conduct will be a ground for termination without notice.
