Note:

• Total 02 (Two) Posts under Cultural Quota in Ty. Group 'C' in Level-02 of Pay Matrix under RS(RP) Rules 2016
• There is no community reservation against Cultural quota recruitment
• The recruitment is purely merit based

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Passed 12th (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate
• 50% marks is not required for SC/ST, Ex-Servicemen and the candidates who are possessing higher qualification
• Professional Qualification: Possession of Degree/Diploma certificate in specified Cultural discipline from government recognized institution for which notification is issued
• The Degree/Diploma/Certificate in the relevant cultural discipline should be those issued by Government recognized institute

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience in the relevant field and performance given on AIR/Doordarshan etc.
• Awards/Prizes won at National level
• Proficiency in performing Drama including Dance & Proficiency in percussion will be added qualification
• Preference will be given who has both qualifications

Note:

• Candidates should possess requisite academic and Cultural qualifications on the date of submission of applications
• The Higher Secondary or equivalent board Certificate in proof of minimum educational qualification/date of birth should be issued by a recognized Board or equivalent
• The Candidates having no Cultural qualifications need not apply

Salary/Stipend

• Selected candidates will be appointed in Ty. Group 'C' in Level-02 of Pay Matrix under RS(RP) Rules 2016
• Salary structure as per Railway Service (Revised Pay) Rules 2016
• In the event of appointment as Office Clerk in Level-2, candidates will be required to acquire typing proficiency of 30 w.p.m. in English or 25 w.p.m in Hindi within a period of two years from the date of appointment
• Till such time the appointment will be provisional

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

• UR (Unreserved): 18 to 30 years
• OBC (Other Backward Classes): 18 to 33 years
• SC/ST (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe): 18 to 35 years
• Serving railway employees (including casual labours): Maximum age - UR: 40 years, OBC: 43 years, SC/ST: 45 years (who have put in three years of continuous service)
• Widows/Divorced women and women judicially separated but not re-married: Maximum age - UR: 35 years, OBC: 38 years, SC/ST: 40 years
• Persons with Disabilities (PWD): Age relaxation of 10 years in respective communities (subject to production of Disability Certificate to be issued by at least three (03) members committee of a Government Hospital)
• Ex-Servicemen: Upper age limit relaxable up to the extent of service rendered in Defense forces plus 03 years (provided they have put in a minimum of 06 months attested service)
• Ex-servicemen who have already joined the Government Service on civil side after availing of other benefits cannot claim ex-servicemen status for the purpose of this recruitment

• The requisite examination fee should be deposited through Bank Demand Draft (DD) drawn in favour of "PFA, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works" – payable at Chittaranjan
• Certificates in proof of the respective categories should be enclosed along with the application form for getting exempted from paying this fee

Eligible candidates will be assessed on the following basis:

• A written test will be held for the said discipline followed by 'Practical Demonstration'
• Candidates who qualify in the Written Test will only be called for "Practical Demonstration" and "Assessment of Talent"
• In written test the candidate who will obtain at least 40% marks out of 50 will be eligible for next stage of Test (i.e Practical Demonstration & Evaluation of Testimonials & Prizes etc.)
• The panel will be formed purely on Merit basis
• Schedules of Written Test/Personality Test/Practical Demonstration/Interview etc. would be notified on Chittaranjan Locomotive Works website www.clw.indianrailways.gov.in from time to time
• Selected candidates have to pass the requisite medical standards prior to appointment
• The recruitment process is based purely on the merit of the candidates. Canvassing in any form will attract disqualification

• Candidates should continue to serve in Cultural Programmes in the event of his/her selection
• Applications not fulfilling any of the terms and conditions given in this notification shall be summarily rejected
• Railway administration will not be responsible for any postal delay/wrong postal delivery of applications or any other recruitment related correspondence whatsoever at any stage of the selection process
• Chittaranjan Locomotive Works reserves the right to cancel or modify recruitment process without reasons thereof
• Verification of all testimonials and certificates will also be mandatory condition for appointment
• Place of Posting will be decided by the Appropriate Authority
• Certificates in languages other than English or Hindi should be accompanied by an attested translation in English/Hindi
• Any dispute in regard to this recruitment will be subject to the jurisdiction of High Court of Calcutta

How to Apply

• Candidates are required to submit the application form in the prescribed format in good quality A-4 size white paper
• Application should be filled up by the candidate in his/her own handwriting in English/Hindi using blue/black ball point pen
• Applications with typed entries and signature in capital letters will be summarily rejected
• Applicant should firmly affix on the application one recent (taken within one month) colour passport size photograph with white background (without cap and/or colored glass) revealing the full face
• The applicant should send 02 (two) photographs (without cap and/or colored glass) duly signed on the back of them with application form and keep at least 05 (five) photographs also with them for future use
• Applicant should enclose with the application a set of legible Xerox copies of all certificates, in proof of Educational and Cultural Qualification, Age, Caste certificate, PH certificates etc., duly attested by any Gazetted Officer or Self attested
• All candidates should enclose application fee without fail
• Applicant should fill all the columns in the application without fail
• Applicant should write on the top of the envelope containing the application as follows: "APPLICATION FOR THE POST IN GROUP-C CATEGORY AGAINST CULTURAL QUOTA (DRAMATIST) FOR THE YEAR 2025-2026"
