Educational Qualification:
For Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) & Clusters:
- Environmental Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with Post-Graduation in Environmental Engineering.
- Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Electrical Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Hydrologist: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Civil or Hydrology Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with Post-Graduation in Environmental or Hydrology Engineering.
- Public Health Engineer: Bachelor's Degree in Environmental or Public Health Engineering. Preference will be given to candidates with Post-Graduation in Environmental or Public Health Engineering.
- Accountant (Special Cadre): B.Com. with Accountancy.
- Finance Officer (Special Cadre): M.Com. with Accountancy.
For Planning Department of LSGD:
- Planner Consultant: Post-Graduation in Town and Country Planning.
- Planner Associate: Post-Graduation in Town and Country Planning or equivalent. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
- Planning Assistant: B.Tech. (Civil Engineering)/B.Arch./B.Plan./Degree in Architectural Engineering or equivalent. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
- Planning Assistant (GIS): Post-Graduation in Geography/Geology or equivalent with expertise in GIS software OR Degree in Remote Sensing or GIS or equivalent with proficiency in GIS applications. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
- Computer Assistant (GIS): Diploma in Civil Engineering/Architecture or equivalent. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
- Computer Assistant (Office): Degree or equivalent and certificate courses in MS Office and DTP with proficiency in word processing in English and Malayalam. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
- Architect: Graduation in Architecture. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
- Surveyor: ITI Certificate in Draughtsman (Civil)/Surveying OR Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering. Preference shall be given to candidates with experience.
For Regional Laboratories under Engineering Department:
- Graduate Engineer: B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- Diploma Holder: Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Lab Assistant (ITI): ITI Draughtsman in Civil.
Essential Qualifications:
- Applicants must be citizens of India
- The qualification stipulated for the post must be from a recognized University/Institute
- Those applicants having qualification equivalent to any of the prescribed qualification should submit equivalency certificate issued by the competent authority
- Candidates who possess qualifications acquired from foreign universities shall submit an equivalency certificate from a competent authority/Association of Indian Universities

Selection Process
- The selection process may comprise of Written Examination/Proficiency Test/Technical Presentation and/or Personal Interview
- LSGD/CMD reserves the absolute right to decide as to whether to use any/a combination of these modes for selection to the notified posts
- LSGD/CMD reserves the right to determine the selection process based on requirements

General Information/Instructions
Mode of Appointment:
- Contract appointment will be initially for a period of 01 (one) year with contract extensions subject to project requirements of LSGD and approval from Government
- Candidates selected for the posts in Planning Department and Regional Laboratories of Engineering Department will be deployed under the payroll of Centre for Management Development (CMD)
- Deployment will be at locations/offices suggested by LSGD

- In the case of latest experience, applicants may upload an AFFIDAVIT with details of employer, designation, period, nature of job, tasks and responsibilities
- Affidavit is applicable only for latest experience
- Experience certificates submitted without specific information like date of joining, relieving, duties and responsibilities, signature and seal of authorised person will not be considered
- Applications with blurred/illegible Photograph/Signature/ambiguous experience certificates will be rejected
