Eligibility Criteria
- Qualifications: M. Sc in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Agricultural science/Food Science & Technology.
- Essential qualifications: The essential qualification must be acquired and results declared for a candidate to be eligible to apply.
- Desirable qualifications: Experience in a reputed R&D institute in the areas of fruits, vegetables, confectioneries, modern analytical instruments, method validation and MS-office tools will be preferred.
- Experience: The period of experience shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications.
Salary/Stipend
- Stipend: Rs. 25,000/- per month plus HRA (House Rent Allowance).
Age Limit (as on 21-12-2025)
- Maximum Age: Candidates should not have exceeded 35 years of age as on the last date of receiving applications (21/12/2025).
- Age Relaxation: 05 years for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and 03 years for OBC candidates.

Selection Process
- Applicants will be subjected to shortlisting by a designated committee.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
- In the event of large applications, short-listing criteria (percentage of marks, higher qualification/experience) will be used to restrict candidates for the interview.
- Selection is based on the performance of candidates in the interview, and results will be posted on the CFTRI website.
General Information/Instructions
- The engagement is purely temporary and contractual, co-terminus with the project tenure (up to March 31, 2026, extendable up to two years, maximum 6 years total across all CSIR projects).
- Engagement does not provide any right/claim for regularization or permanent employment in CSIR-CFTRI/CSIR.
- Candidates who have completed a total tenure of 6 years in any CSIR Lab/Instt. are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
- If currently working in CSIR, a NOC from the current PI is mandatory.
