Eligibility Criteria

• Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel: Enrolled Advocate with at least 10 years of practice in criminal law, at least 30 criminal trials in Sessions Courts (relaxable), excellent communication skills, leadership qualities, preferable computer knowledge.
• Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel: Enrolled Advocate with at least 7 years of practice in criminal law, at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Courts (relaxable), excellent criminal law knowledge, communication skills, legal research, IT proficiency.
• Assistant Legal Aid Defense Counsel: Enrolled Advocate with 0 to 3 years of practice in criminal law, good communication skills, ethical understanding, excellent writing and research skills, high IT proficiency.
• General Qualification for all posts: Enrolled as an Advocate with Bar Council under Advocates Act, 1961, Membership of Bar Council of Odisha or registered Bar Association, Practice experience in criminal law as per post, Knowledge of criminal laws including BNSS, BSA, BNS.
