Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification for all posts:
- Hindi or Sanskrit as one of the subjects in Matric or Higher Education
- 10+2/10+2 1st Division/10+2 Vocational/Graduation/Graduation with 60% or its equivalent from a recognized board/university
- For Steno-Typist (Hindi) - Category 1:
- Hindi Shorthand at a speed of 64 words per minute
- Transcription at a speed of 11 words per minute
- Mistakes should not exceed 8%
- For Steno-Typist (English) - Category 2:
- English Shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute
- Transcription at a speed of 15 words per minute
- Mistakes should not exceed 8%
- For Executive Assistant (Steno) - Haryana Dairy Development:
- Graduate with 60% or above marks
- 1 year experience with minimum typing speed in English of 35 words per minute on Computer
- Shorthand speed 80 words per minute or typing speed in Hindi 30 words per minute on Computer and Shorthand 64 words per minute
- For Junior Scale Stenographer (English) - Category 3:
- English Shorthand at a speed of 100 words per minute
- Transcription at a speed of 20 words per minute
- Mistakes should not exceed 8%
- For Senior Scale Stenographer (English) - Category 4:
- English Shorthand at a speed of 100 words per minute
- Transcription at a speed of 20 words per minute
- Mistakes should not exceed 4%
- For Steno-Typist (Both Languages) - Category 5:
- English Shorthand at a speed of 80 words per minute and transcription at 15 words per minute (mistakes not exceeding 8%)
- AND Hindi Shorthand at a speed of 64 words per minute and transcription at 11 words per minute (mistakes not exceeding 8%)
- For Junior Scale Stenographer (Both) - Category 6:
- English Shorthand at 100 words per minute and transcription at 20 words per minute (mistakes not exceeding 8%)
- AND Hindi Shorthand at 80 words per minute and transcription at 15 words per minute (mistakes not exceeding 8%)
- For Senior Scale Stenographer (Both) - Category 7:
- English Shorthand at 100 words per minute and transcription at 20 words per minute (mistakes not exceeding 4%)
- AND Hindi Shorthand at 80 words per minute and transcription at 15 words per minute (mistakes not exceeding 4%)
- Desirable:

Salary/Stipend
- Steno-Typist (Hindi/English/Both): Pay Scale FPL-2
- Junior Scale Stenographer: Pay Scale FPL-4
- Stenographer Grade-II: Pay Scale FPL-4
- Executive Assistant (Steno): Pay Scale FPL-6
- Senior Scale Stenographer: Pay Scale FPL-6

- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 42 years
- Age Relaxation:
- Scheduled Castes (DSC/OSC): 5 years
- Backward Classes (BCA/BCB): 5 years
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): As per government norms
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years for Group C posts (additional 5 years if belonging to SC/BC/EWS, subject to maximum 52 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation equal to military service added by 3 years
- Widowed/Legally Divorced Women: 5 years

- Wives of Disabled Military Personnel: 5 years
- Haryana Government Employees (adhoc/contract/work-charged/daily wages): Equal to number of completed years on equivalent post, subject to maximum 52 years

- Stage-I: Stenography Skill Test (Qualifying Nature)
- Shorthand test as per prescribed speed for respective posts
- Transcription test as per prescribed speed
- Computer-based test in Kruti Dev 10 for Hindi (Font 14) and Arial for English (Font 12)
- Line spacing: 1.5 point
- Qualifying in nature (must pass to proceed to Stage-II)
- Stage-II: Written Examination
- Total Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs): 100
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 1 Hour 45 Minutes (105 minutes)
- Additional time for PwBD candidates: 35 minutes (20 minutes per hour)
- Medium: Bilingual (English & Hindi)
- Mode: Offline (OMR based)
- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- General Category: 50%
- Reserved Category (vertical and horizontal): 40%
- Negative Marking:
- No negative marking for wrong answers
- Negative marking of minus one mark for each unattempted question (if the fifth circle/bubble is not filled in OMR)

- Shortlisting for Written Exam:
- Maximum 10 times the total number of advertised posts based on CET marks merit

- Final Merit List:
- Based on marks obtained in Skill + Written Examination
- In case of tie: Older candidate gets precedence
