Eligibility Criteria

• Essential qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture/ Life Sciences/ or Diploma in Agriculture as per ICAR rule
• Desirable:
  • Masters' Degree in Agriculture preferably in Agronomy, Soil Science, Horticulture, Environmental Sciences/ Allied Sciences having field experience in socio-economic and other relevant survey data collection and compilation.
• Experience: Not Mentioned as essential

Salary/Stipend

• Emoluments: Rs. 30,000/- per month Consolidated

Age Limit (as on date of interview)

• Minimum Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Physically challenged/Ex-Serviceman/Women candidates as per Rules of the Govt. of India

General Information/Instructions

• Above position is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis, and is only for two years from the date mentioned in the appointment order. The posts will be offered initially for a period mentioned above, and may be further extendable if the circumstances warranted to do so based on periodic review and satisfactory performance during the project.
• The services of YP-I is for the field work at local places in Shimla districts of Himachal Pradesh. However, their services can be utilized at the CC-PIs Hqrs. (ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre, Delhi) if need arises to do so to carry out the project related activities only. In such cases, the YP-I will not be entitled for any TA&DA from the project fund.
• Selected YP-I will be engaged in activities pertaining to surveys mainly socio-economic survey, collection and compilation of field data/information for the assigned districts, collection of primary and secondary data of the study area for report preparation, and report writing.
• The candidate has to report the field and other related activities regularly to the CCPI, Dr. Ashok Kumar, Senior Scientist, ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre, Delhi.
• Shortlisted candidates will have to produce their complete biodata/curriculum vitae with one photograph and duly self-attested certificates and mark sheets (From Class 10th onwards) along with original certificates in support of qualification, age, caste, experience certificate and no objection certificate from their current employer, if any at the time of interview.
• Shortlisted candidates whose near/distant relative (s) is an employee of the ICAR-NBSS&LUP, has to declare it and communicate this to ICAR-NBSS&LUP, Regional Centre, Delhi, IARI Campus, New Delhi-110012 in the given format (Annexure-II).
• No TA/DA will be borne by the Institute for the shortlisted candidates to attend the interview.
• Canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification, and if shortlisted, the candidate will not be interviewed by the selection committee.
• Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim for regular appointments/absorption in this Institute.
• Non‐maintenance of the discipline and failure to perform the assigned duties will make the YP-I liable for termination during the appointment period as per ICAR rules.
• In case of any disputes, it will be resolved in the jurisdiction of Delhi court only.
• If any candidate found to have submitted false claims during screening or at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.
