Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification (Post Doctoral Fellow - PDF): Ph.D or equivalent degree with relevant experience, and three research papers published in SCI/SCIE journals.
- Qualification (Research Associate -I - RA-I): Ph.D. OR having 3 years of research, or design and development experience after MSc/MS/ME/M.Tech, with at least one research paper published in a SCI/SCIE journal.
- Qualification (Junior Research Fellow - JRF): B.E./B.Tech and MSc/M.E./M.Tech. in CSE / IT / Cybersecurity / AI / ML / Data Science or any other relevant branch, both with First Class (minimum 65% marks or 7.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale) from a recognized institution. The candidate must have qualified NET or GATE.
- Desirable Qualification (for all positions): Candidates having hands-on experience or good knowledge in Two or more of the following areas will be preferred: Computer Network (specially OSI Layer, Traffic Analysis & Communications Protocols), VPN and proxy identification using network traffic (Layer-7) and Deep Packet Inspection (DPI), Applying AI / ML / Deep Learning models for VPN detection and anomaly classification, Using Agentic AI for automated or intelligent decision-making, Graph-based analysis of network data, Working with VPN and proxy repositories, including dark web indicators, Packet capture and analysis using tools such as Wireshark, TShark, or tcpdump, Developing web dashboards for data visualization and alerts, Performing time-series and real-time network analysis using telemetry data, Detecting network anomalies using adaptive thresholds, Following ethical research practices in data handling and analysis, Knowledge of programming in Python and experience with shell scripting or similar tools for data processing and automation will be an added advantage.
Salary/ Stipend
- Post Doctoral Fellow (PDF): ₹90,000 per month (including HRA) as per institute/project norms.
- Research Associate -I (RA-I): ₹58,000 per month + HRA (as per institute/project norms).
- Junior Research Fellow (JRF): ₹37,000 per month + HRA (as per institute/project norms).

General Information / Instructions
- The above post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and scan copies submitted.
- The interview will be conducted in Online/Offline Mode. Further details will be sent to only shortlisted candidates.
- The offer of appointment to the candidates will be purely on contractual basis for one year initially. It may be extended for another year/till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier, based on the satisfactory performance of the candidate.
- The selected candidates need to join immediately.
- No TA/DA will be applicable to the candidates for appearing for the interview or joining the duty.

- The JRF can be promoted to SRF after two years of relevant research experience and on the recommendation of the project progress monitoring committee.
- The RA-I can be promoted to RA-II after one year of relevant research experience and on the recommendation of the project progress monitoring committee.
- The association between PI and the candidate can be discontinued at any time by giving one month’s notice in writing either by the PI of the project to the candidate, or by candidate to the PI of the project.
- Candidates selected for this position are encouraged to apply for the regular PhD program at IIIT Allahabad, provided they satisfy the eligibility criterion followed by the selection process laid down by the institute.
