IIT Gandhinagar Post-Doctoral Researcher Job Description
The candidate will work on development of a numerical model for simulation of the Solid Stir Extrusion process. A physics-based modeling framework will be developed capable of predicting material flow, temperature evolution, deformation characteristics, and resulting grain structure. The candidate will be expected to develop FORTRAN based code, and use CFD fundamentals to develop such model. Knowledge of the friction stir based process, CFD basics, deformation and recrystallization fundamentals would be useful.
