PwBD vacancies are reserved horizontally within the above totals across VI (Visual Impairment), HI (Hearing Impairment), LD (Locomotor Disability), and Others/Multiple Disabilities categories for most disciplines. Reservation for OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD candidates is applicable as per Government of India directives.
IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026 Eligibility (Post-wise)
1. Graduate Engineer (Grade A)
Full-time regular B.Tech/BE/equivalent degree from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution in one of the following domains: Chemical, Civil, Computer Science & IT, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering.
2. Officer (Marketing) – Grade A
Full-time 2-year MBA / PGDBA (equivalent to MBA as per AIU) with specialization in Marketing Management. General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 60% marks minimum; SC/ST/PwBD: 55% marks minimum. The specialization must be reflected on the final degree certificate.
3. Law Officer (Grade A)
Graduate degree in any discipline plus LLB, OR a 5-year Integrated LLB, recognized by the Bar Council of India. General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 60% marks in each qualifying degree; SC/ST/PwBD: 55% marks. Minimum 2 years of post-qualification work experience (as on 30.06.2026) is required in litigation, law firms, or legal functions with private/public organizations or government, in areas such as litigation, arbitration/ADR, or drafting and vetting of legal/contractual documents.
4. Assistant Quality Control Officer (Grade A0)
Master’s degree in Chemistry (Inorganic/Organic/Analytical/Physical/Applied/Industrial Chemistry). General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 60% marks minimum; SC/ST/PwBD: 55% marks minimum. Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in Testing/R&D/Quality Control in a petroleum, petrochemical, polymer, or fertilizer laboratory, and/or in an NABL-accredited lab (Chemical discipline, Lubricants/Petroleum group).
5. Diploma Engineer (Grade E0)
3-year full-time Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Safety-related disciplines as listed in the official notification). General/EWS/OBC(NCL): 65% marks minimum; SC/ST: 55% marks minimum. Candidates possessing higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, CS, CMA, MCA, or Ph.D. are not eligible for this post. For the Safety discipline, an additional Diploma in Industrial Safety (minimum 1 year) is required.
Important: For the Diploma Engineer (Safety) post, PwBD candidates are not eligible, as the notification states this is a hazardous-industry role involving critical safety operations.
Common Eligibility Points
- Candidates must produce their final degree/marksheet by 30 September 2026.
- Qualifications acquired through Part-time/Correspondence/Distance/Online learning modes are not eligible.
- CGPA/grade-based results must be converted to percentage as per the respective institute's official conversion formula.
- Candidates must be Indian nationals with an outstanding academic record.
IOCL Executive Recruitment Age Limit
Note: Age is reckoned as on 01 July 2026. Age relaxation for OBC(NCL): 3 years; SC/ST: 5 years; PwBD: additional 10 years over the applicable category limit. Ex-servicemen relaxation is as per extant Government of India guidelines. Only a Board of Secondary Education matriculation/higher-secondary certificate is accepted as proof of date of birth.
IOCL Executive Recruitment Pay Scale 2026
In addition to basic pay, selected candidates receive Dearness Allowance, HRA/subsidized housing, medical facilities, gratuity, contributory provident fund, group personal accident insurance, LTC/LFA, superannuation benefit fund, conveyance advance, and Performance Related Pay (PRP), as per Corporation rules.
Service Bond
Selected candidates must serve a minimum bond period of 3 years from the date of joining.
IOCL Executive Recruitment Selection Process
Selection comprises three stages: Computer Based Test (CBT), Group Discussion (GD) & Group Task (GT), and Personal Interview (PI).
CBT Pattern
- Each question carries 1 mark; 0.25 marks deducted for every incorrect answer.
- Section order is fixed - Section A first, then Section B.
- CBT will be held at 83 test centers across India (city list available in the official notification and syllabus link below).
Qualifying Standard in CBT
Composite Score Weightage
Minimum composite score required: General/EWS/OBC(NCL) – 45%, SC/ST – 40%, PwBD – 30%. GD/GT and PI each require a minimum 40% pass mark.
How to Apply for IOCL Executive Recruitment 2026
- Visit the official website www.iocl.com and click "Apply Online."
- Choose "Click here for New Registration" and enter Name, contact details, and email ID to generate a Provisional Registration Number and Password.
- Log in and fill the application form; use "Save and Next" to save progress at each stage.
- Upload scanned photograph (4.5cm x 3.5cm, 20–50 KB), signature (10–20 KB), and left thumb impression (20–50 KB) as per specifications.
- Capture a live photograph via webcam or mobile phone as prompted by the portal.
- Fill in educational, category, and other required details.
- Preview the form carefully, then click "Complete Registration" - no changes are allowed after this step.
- Proceed to the Payment tab and pay the application fee online.
- Click "Submit" and download/print the completed application form and e-receipt for your records.
Important: Only one application per post is allowed; in case of multiple applications, the latest one is treated as final. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempt from the application fee; all other candidates must pay ₹1,000 + GST.

- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer, if presently employed in Government/PSU/Autonomous Body
Important Conditions
- Candidates having their graduation/diploma in combined, integrated, or interdisciplinary subjects (e.g., Mechatronics, Robotics) are not eligible for the Graduate Engineer or Diploma Engineer posts.
- No change of category (Gen/EWS/SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD) is permitted once submitted in the online application.
- Selected candidates will be placed anywhere in India, including overseas offices, at Corporation discretion.
- Final selection is provisional and subject to subsequent verification of certificates, testimonials, and medical fitness.
- Candidates must clear Pre-Employment Medical Examination (PEME) guidelines before joining.
- Any use of unfair means, impersonation, or misconduct during the process will lead to disqualification and may result in debarment from future IOCL examinations.
- IOCL reserves the right to cancel, restrict, enlarge, modify, or alter the recruitment/selection process without prior notice.
