JNU PG Admission 2026 applications for Postgraduate, PG Diploma, and Advanced Diploma programmes will open from 25th May to 15th June 2026. Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released the official admission schedule for PG programmes for the academic session 2026-27. Admissions to most courses including M.A., M.Sc., MCA, MPH, and select M.Tech programmes are conducted through CUET (PG) 2026, followed by a separate online registration on the JNU portal.

Eligibility Criteria for JNU PG Admission 2026
Eligibility varies by programme. General requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern with minimum 50% marks (relaxation for reserved categories).
- Specific subject requirements for programmes like Economics, Sciences, Languages, etc.
- Final year appearing candidates can apply provisionally.

How to Apply for JNU PG Admission 2026 (Step-by-Step Process)
- Appear in CUET (PG) 2026
Register and appear for the Common University Entrance Test (PG) conducted by NTA in the relevant domain subject. - Check CUET Result
Wait for the declaration of CUET (PG) 2026 results. - Register on JNU Portal
Visit the official JNU admission website and fill the separate online application form for JNU PG Admission 2026 during the scheduled dates (25 May – 15 June 2026). - Fill Application Details
Enter personal information, academic details, CUET score, category, and choice of programme. - Upload Required Documents
Upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, CUET scorecard, marksheets, and category certificates (if applicable). - Pay Application Fee
Pay the prescribed fee online as per your category. - Submit & Print
Submit the form and take a printout for future reference. - Check Merit Lists
Regularly check the JNU website for First, Second, and Final Merit Lists. - Pre-enrolment & Seat Blocking
Complete online pre-enrolment registration and fee payment within the given window to block your seat. - Physical Verification

Selection Process
- Merit is prepared on the basis of CUET (PG) scores + Deprivation Points (if eligible).
- No Viva-Voce for most programmes.
- Reservation policy of Government of India (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD) applies.
- Special provisions for supernumerary seats (Kashmiri migrants, wards of JNU employees, etc.).

Reservation and Deprivation Points
- SC: 15%, ST: 7.5%, OBC (NCL): 27%, EWS: 10%, PwD: 5%.
- Deprivation points are awarded as per university rules (Section V of Prospectus).
