- Visit the official JoSAA portal: josaa.nic.in
- Click on "View Mock Seat Allotment Result" under the Candidate Activity section
- Enter your JEE Main 2026 Application Number and Password
- Key in the security pin displayed on screen

What to Do After Checking JoSAA Mock Seat Allocation 2026?
After viewing the mock result, candidates who are not satisfied with the allotted seat can edit their choices until June 10, 2026, before the system locks all preferences on June 11. careers360
Once the actual Round 1 allotment is released on June 13, candidates must choose one of three options:
- Freeze – Accept the allotted seat and withdraw from all further rounds. You are satisfied with what you got and do not want any upgrades.
- Float – Accept the current allotment but remain in the pool for higher-preference seats in upcoming rounds. If a better option opens up, it will be allocated automatically.
- Slide – Accept the allotted seat but allow upgradation to a higher-preference course within the same institute only.
