KRCL Multi-Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Educational Qualification: 12th Std (HSC) with Diploma in Nursing / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Mandatory Work Experience: Minimum one year working experience in any hospital with practical experience in advanced first aid and primary health care with knowledge of computer working.
• Upper Age Limit: 32 years as on 01/01/2026 (candidates should not be more than prescribed age on this date).
• Age relaxation of 3 years is applicable to OBC (NCL) candidates if applying against the post of respective category. Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is discretionary.
• Candidates wishing to apply for the post reserved for OBC-NCL category must attach valid Caste, Non-Creamy Layer certificate in the format required for Central Government employment; certificates not indicating validity will not be accepted.

Salary/Stipend

• Consolidated remuneration for Multi-Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) per month:
  • As per A Class city: Rs. 40,500/-
  • As per B Class city: Rs. 38,000/-
  • As per C Class city: Rs. 35,500/-
• Consolidated remuneration is inclusive of Basic, DA, HRA, Conveyance, Mobile Allowance etc.
• Annual remuneration will increase by 4% of the consolidated remuneration after completion of every year, subject to requirement of KRCL and at the discretion of Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd.
• Other Allowances/Facilities:
  • Reimbursement of premium paid for Life insurance up to Rs. 500/- per month from a recognized insurance company, on production of original receipt.
  • Health benefits: Medical Allowance of Rs. 500/- per month towards OPD expenditure; reimbursement of health policy premium up to Rs. 500/- per month on production of original receipt.
  • TA as per rates prescribed in extant policy of KRCL when required to travel for official work beyond project area.
  • Travel facilities: Complimentary Railway Pass of SLR class for travel on duty; road travel reimbursement as per extant policy.
  • Rest House/Hotel: KRCL Rest House, if available, will be provided while on duty; otherwise, reimbursement of hotel charges as per KRCL rates on production of vouchers.
  • Leave: 15 days fully earned leave on completion of every 6 months of contract period (2.5 leaves per month), cumulative; no encashment. Additionally, 8 days Casual Leave during year of contract; weekly off and public holidays as applicable at place of posting.

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2026)

• Upper age limit for MPHW: 32 years as on 01/01/2026.

Important Dates

Selection Process

• Mode of Selection: WALK-IN INTERVIEW.
• Candidates fulfilling criteria may report directly for walk-in interview along with all original certificates and one copy of application in prescribed format (Annexure-A) with one set of self-attested copies of required certificates (age, qualification, experience, caste etc.).
• After preliminary screening of applications submitted in person, only provisionally eligible candidates will be interviewed.
• Candidates should come prepared to stay for minimum 2 days, if required, at their own cost; no train/bus fare/TA/DA will be payable by the Corporation.
• Depending on number of candidates, Group Discussion (GD) or other elimination round like written test etc. can be introduced; only those who qualify elimination round will be called for further process.
• The candidate will be interviewed by a nominated Committee; selection will be finalized and merit list drawn based on performance in interview, qualification and post-qualification experience.
• The decision of the nominated Committee of KRCL shall be final and binding.

General Information/Instructions

• Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, a PSU under Ministry of Railways, invites applications for MPHW on fixed term contract basis in Medical Department for initial period of one year; contract can be extended based on performance and KRCL requirements.
• The contractual service is for Konkan Railway; selected candidates can be posted and transferred anywhere in KRCL establishment over the Konkan Railway route during contract period based on requirement.
• Panel of standby candidates over and above requirement will be maintained as per merit; such candidates may be engaged within validity of panel. Posts notified are not regular establishment posts and KRCL reserves right to change number of posts.
• Candidates must attach self-attested photocopies of mandatory documents (proof of age, caste, educational qualification with mark sheets, experience certificate, Ex-servicemen/PwD certificates etc.); incomplete/vague qualifications or missing documents will render candidate ineligible for interview.
• Candidates should bring one character certificate from Gazetted Officer/Executive Officer certifying good moral character.
• If any document/certificate/information is found incorrect or false at any stage, contractual service will be terminated immediately without prior notice, and legal action may be initiated.
• Selected candidates must pass prescribed medical examination for fitness before entering into contract.
• No accommodation will be provided, and no food or food/mess allowance will be paid by KRCL.
• Any kind of canvassing will result in disqualification at any stage of selection without assigning reasons; no further correspondence will be entertained.
• Contract appointee will be governed by Indian Laws and subject to judicial courts in concerned State; statutory Income Tax, Professional Tax and other taxes will be deducted at source as applicable.

• Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria should report directly for walk-in interview at:
  Venue: Executive Club, Konkan Rail Vihar, Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., Near Seawoods Railway Station, Sector-40, Seawoods (West), Navi Mumbai.
• Registration time is from 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs only on 03-02-2026; candidates must register within this time.
• Bring:
  • Duly filled application in prescribed format (Annexure-A).
  • All original certificates (age proof, qualification, experience, caste certificate etc.).
  • One set of self-attested copies of all required certificates.
  • Two recent passport size photographs.
  • Character certificate from Gazetted/Executive Officer.
• Applications not conforming to prescribed format or having illegible/ambiguous/without certificates or incomplete will be summarily rejected.
• Selected candidates will be required to execute agreement and indemnity bond of Rs. 50,000/- on stamp paper of Rs. 100/- or more to serve the company for specified period; they will not have any right to claim permanent absorption in KRCL and must give undertaking to that effect.
• On premature termination or expiry of contract, appointee must return all KRCL property, documents, passwords/user IDs etc., and clear all advances/dues.
