Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Educational Qualification (Post Graduate):
- Post Graduate (M.Sc.) in Second Division in any of the following: Physics, Chemistry, Botany (Vanaspati Vigyan), Zoology (Jantु/Praani Vigyan), Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Forensic Biotechnology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioscience, Life Science, or Forensic Science.
- Essential Educational Qualification (Graduate – both (a) and (b) mandatory):
- (a) Any one of: Botany, Zoology, Bioscience, Life Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Forensic Biology.
- (b) Any one of: Chemistry or Biochemistry/Forensic Chemistry.
- Department: Madhya Pradesh Shasan, Home Department (Grih Vibhag).
- Post Grade: Rajpatrit II Shreni (Gazetted Class II).
- Post Status: Temporary (Asthaayi).
- Employment Registration:
- Candidates from other states are exempted from registration in Employment Exchange as per High Court order dated 08.03.2022 in Writ Petition No. 5096/2022.
- MP domicile candidates' live Employment Exchange registration is not required at the time of application, but must be submitted by the last date of document submission before the interview.
- MP domicile candidates serving in Government or Non-Government service are exempt from Employment Exchange registration on production of No Objection Certificate (Government employees) or Service Certificate (Non-Government employees).
- All qualifications must be completed on or before the last date of application i.e. 20.05.2026.
Salary / Stipend
- Pay Scale: ₹15,600 – ₹39,100 Per Month
- Grade Pay: ₹5,400/-
- Post Grade: Rajpatrit II Shreni (Gazetted Class II)
- Other allowances as applicable per Government rules for Madhya Pradesh State services.
Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 40 Years
- Age is computed as on 01 January 2027.
- Only the date of birth as recorded in the 10th (High School) marksheet will be accepted. Candidates must mention the same name, father's name, and date of birth in the online application as in their High School marksheet.
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST/OBC/Divyangjan/Government Employees/Nagar Sainik/Women (Unreserved/Reserved): 5 years relaxation in upper age limit as per MP Government order Saa.Pra.Vib. No. Ci.3-8/2016/1/3 dated 04 July 2019.
- Ex-Servicemen: Age reduced by length of defence service; resultant age must not exceed upper age limit by more than 3 years.
- Intercaste married couple (Anusuchit Jati-Savarna) under Promotion Scheme: 5 years.
- Vikram Puraskar awardee sportspersons: 5 years.
- In no case should the maximum age exceed 45 years after all relaxations.
Application Fee
- Fee payment through Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. Fee can also be paid at M.P. Online authorized kiosks in cash.
- Late Application Fee (after 20.05.2026 to 27.05.2026): ₹3,000/- additional.
- Late Application Fee (after 28.05.2026 to 28.10.2026): ₹25,000/- additional.
- Error correction fee: ₹50/- per correction (up to 28.10.2026).
- Fee once paid will not be refunded except in the case of advertisement cancellation by the Commission, in which case fee will be returned online to the candidate's account.
Important Dates
Selection Process
- Written Examination (OMR Based):
- Objective type questions on OMR sheet will be conducted.
- Negative Marking (Rnnatmak Mulyankan) is applicable.
- Exam centres: Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
- Exam Plan and Syllabus will be published on the Commission's website www.mppsc.mp.gov.in in due course.
- Candidates up to a maximum of three times the notified vacancies (category-wise) will be shortlisted for interview based on written exam marks.
- Interview (Viva Voce / Saakshaatkar):
- Candidates shortlisted from the written examination will be called for interview.
- Interview total marks: 100. Minimum qualifying marks for Unreserved category: 41; for Reserved categories and Divyangjan: 31.
- Final selection will be based on the merit order of aggregate marks (written examination + interview).
- Candidates absent from interview will be considered ineligible for selection.
- If total applicants are less than 500: Selection will be based on interview only. Candidates will be shortlisted directly for interview as per the following ratio: 1 post – up to 12 candidates; 2–3 posts – up to 24; 4–6 posts – up to 36; 7–9 posts – up to 48; 10 posts and above – up to 50 candidates or 5 times the vacancies.
- Post-Answer Key Process: Provisional answer key will be published on the Commission's website after the exam. Objections can be submitted within 05 days at ₹150/- per question (plus ₹40/- portal charge). Final answer key will be published after expert committee review. No objections will be entertained after publication of the final answer key.
General Information / Instructions
- All amendments/instructions issued by the Government from time to time regarding age, domicile, employment exchange registration, reservation etc. will be incorporated into the final selection result.
- The syllabus is attached in Bhaag-"H" of the notification and will be published on the Commission's website www.mppsc.mp.gov.in.
- Cut-off marks of written exam and interview will not be disclosed prior to final selection.
- If a computer or clerical error is noticed after declaration of result, the Commission reserves the right to correct it.
- Reserved category seats (SC/ST/OBC) and age relaxation benefits are available only to Madhya Pradesh domicile candidates. Candidates from other states will be considered as Unreserved.
- In any reserved category, if no eligible female candidate is available, the reserved seats will be filled by male candidates of the same category.
- Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) candidates must attach the latest valid disability certificate issued by the District Medical Board constituted as per Ministry notification F-8-1-Satreh-Medi-2, dated 09.01.2009. Disability certificate issued after 01.06.2021 must be from the UID portal http://www.swavlambancard.gov.in. Manually issued certificates after that date will be invalid. Minimum 40% permanent disability is required to claim reservation and other benefits.
- Candidates who are in Government service (temporary, daily wage, contractual, or under public undertakings) must submit an Undertaking that they have informed their Head of Department/office about applying for this post.

- EWS (Economically Weaker Section) certificate valid for financial year 2026-27 must be held by the candidate by the last date of online application i.e. 20.05.2026.
- OBC candidates must ensure they are not in the Creamy Layer. Non-Creamy Layer declaration as per the prescribed proforma must be submitted.
- Final selection result for OBC reservation is subject to the pending court cases SLP 8764/2023 and WP5596/2024 and related matters. The result will be declared in Main Part (87%) and Provisional Part (13%) as per MP Govt. order dated 29.09.2022.
- Disqualifications under MP Civil Services Rules 1961: Candidates convicted of crimes against women, candidates with more than 2 living children (where one was born on or after 26 January 2001) are not eligible for appointment.
How to Apply
- Online applications must be submitted at www.mppsc.mp.gov.in. Applications through any other means will not be accepted.
- Online application window: 21-04-2026 to 20-05-2026.
- Before filling the form, prepare a recent passport-size colour photograph scan and signature scan file as per instructions in the notification.
- Fee can be paid via Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or at M.P. Online authorized kiosks in cash.
- After filling the form, a popup window will display basic information (name, parents' names, date of birth, category, gender) for verification. If any error is found, click Cancel to go back and correct. Click OK to submit. After successful submission, the application number will be generated (status will be Unpaid until fee is paid).
- After submitting, click "Proceed for Payment" to complete fee payment. After successful payment, the application will be received and "Payment Done" will be displayed. Take a printout of the application form and preserve the application number for future reference.
- Error Correction Facility: Online application correction can be done from 26.04.2026 to 22.05.2026 (till 12:00 midnight) at ₹50/- per correction. Applications submitted with late fee: corrections allowed up to 28.10.2026 at ₹50/- per correction.
- Category/Gender/Date of Birth cannot be changed after the error correction period ends.
- Candidates must ensure their signature is consistent across all documents; mismatch of signatures on various documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
- No documents need to be uploaded at the time of online application. However, before the interview, attested self-certified documents must be submitted to the Commission as per the detailed checklist in Annexure/Parishisht-01 of the notification.
