MSEFC Daman & Diu Legal Consultant Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details 

Eligibility Criteria

• Law Graduate from a recognized Institute or University with minimum 50% marks.
• Minimum two years of post-qualification legal work experience in various courts/Government/Quasi-Judicial bodies including Tribunals.
• Mandatory relevant experience of at least one year in dealing with MSME disputes or arbitration and mediation matters.
• Good drafting skills with proficiency in English and the local language.
• Working knowledge of MS Office.

Salary/Stipend

• Consolidated salary: Rs. 80,000/- per month for the Legal Consultant.
• Engagement is purely on contract basis and does not carry benefits of provident fund, pension, gratuity, medical attendance/treatment or other concessions applicable to Government servants.
• Remuneration will be released to contractual staff after receipt of funds from the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, under the RAMP Scheme.
• Appointee entitled to leave at the rate of 2.5 days per month during the contract period.

• Maximum age limit for Legal Consultant: 40 years.

Important Dates

Selection Process

• Final selection will be based on verification of eligibility by a document verification/scrutiny committee on the date of interview, followed by a personal interview conducted on the same day by an Interview Committee-cum-Selection Committee of MSEFCs.
• Candidates must present original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies for verification before the interview.
• The decision of the Interview Committee on selection of candidates will be final.
• No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the walk-in interview.
• Applications deviant from prescribed format or required criteria may be summarily rejected without assigning reasons; the Chairman reserves the right to terminate the selection process.

General Information/Instructions

• Engagement is full time and purely on contract basis; selected candidates will have no right or claim for regular appointment against the post during or after the contract.
• Initial engagement is till 31.03.2027, extendable on mutually agreed terms and conditions, subject to continuation of grant from the Ministry of MSME under the RAMP Scheme.
• Appointee must submit an undertaking that he/she will neither stake any claim nor file any court case for regularization of service in any Court of Law.
• Appointee may be required to visit Government Counsel and various courts as per case requirements, and to work from 09:30 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. on working days with half-hour lunch break, and if required on Sundays and public holidays in case of exigency.
• Performance will be assessed by the Council based on conduct of cases and reports/comments on working; extension of tenure will depend on continuation of sponsorship scheme and performance.
• Appointment can be terminated by either side by giving one month notice; engagement will be terminated forthwith if any declaration/information is found false or any material fact is wilfully suppressed.
• Appointee will not be entitled to benefits like provident fund, pension, gratuity, medical attendance/treatment or other concessions available to Government servants.

• Appear for walk-in interview on 29/01/2026 in the Chamber of the Secretary (Industry), Vidyut Bhawan, 1st Floor, Kachigam, Nani Daman, Daman.
• Reach the venue sharply at 10:30 a.m. for verification of documents.
• Bring the duly filled application proforma along with original documents and one set of self-attested photocopies of:
