- Ability to work independently as well as part of a research team, with an understanding of how to connect traditional knowledge with modern research approaches. Interest in teaching or mentoring may be preferred but is not always mandatory.
Age Limit and Relaxations
The upper age limit is 35 years. As per Government of India guidelines, a five-year age relaxation shall be provided to candidates belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories, women, and persons with disabilities, as applicable under relevant rules.
Pay and Tenure
Selected candidates will receive consolidated fellowship remuneration based on their academic submission status:
- Rs. 55,000/- per month (consolidated): For candidates with awarded degrees.
- Rs. 35,000/- per month (consolidated): For candidates who have submitted the thesis, but the degree has not yet been awarded.
