Battery-Related Equipment: Inverters, chargers, UPS systems, charging precautions and maintenance
5. AC & DC Systems DC Machines: Generators and motors (types, EMF equation, uses), maintenance, efficiency, torque concepts
AC Theory: AC vs DC, sine wave generation, RMS/average values, power factor, single vs three-phase systems, star & delta connections
Transformers: Working principle, EMF equation, classification, cooling methods, protective devices, oil testing
Alternators: Operation, excitation, parallel operation, AVRs, schematic wiring diagrams
6. Earthing and Grounding Methods of Earthing: Pipe, plate earthing, importance and resistance improvement, ELCBs, BIS and IEC standards
7. Basic Electronics Semiconductors: Atomic structure, energy levels, PN junction, diode types, biasing
Rectifiers & Filters: Half-wave, full-wave, bridge circuits, passive filter circuits
8. Measuring Instruments Electrical Instruments: PMMC, MI meters, multimeters, wattmeter, energy meters, frequency meter, earth tester, insulation tester (megger), tachometer, phase sequence meter, tong tester
9. Motors Three-Phase Induction Motors: Squirrel cage, slip ring motors, star/delta, DOL, rotor resistance starters
Single-Phase Motors: Capacitor start/run, shaded pole, universal motor
