Eligibility Criteria for PLW Patiala Act Apprentice 2025
1. Educational Qualification
For Electrician, Mechanic (Diesel), Machinist, and Fitter Trades:
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 50% marks (for candidates with matriculation or ITI certificate)
- OR passed 10th class or equivalent examination
For Welder (Gas & Electrician) Trade:
- Candidates must have passed 8th class examination
Important: Only candidates who have passed by the date 01.12.2025 with National Trade Certificate (NCVT) issued by National Trade Certificate (NTC) or Provisional National Trade Certificate (PNTC) under the Apprentices Act, 1961, as per RBE No. 54/2017 and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship notification dated 02.03.2017, Schedule-I Column 5 will be eligible.
2. Age Limit
The age limit for PLW Patiala Act Apprentice Recruitment 2025 is:
For Electrician, Mechanic (Diesel), Machinist, and Fitter Trades:
- Minimum Age: 15 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
For Welder (Gas & Electrician) Trade:
- Minimum Age: 15 years

Selection Process for PLW Patiala Act Apprentice 2025
Candidates will be selected based on the following process:
- Merit-Based Selection: Selection will be based on merit obtained in Matriculation and ITI examinations
- Merit list will be prepared based on average marks obtained in both Matriculation and ITI examinations
- For candidates who have passed Matriculation with at least 50% marks and completed 50% marks in ITI affiliated by NCVT or SCVT, marks will be calculated as: (Matriculation marks 70% + ITI marks 80%)/2 = 75%
