Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) from Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer or Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent board recognized by the Government
• Knowledge of working in Hindi written in Devnagri script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture is required
• Candidates who have appeared or are appearing in the final year examination of the qualifying educational qualification are also eligible to apply
• However, they must acquire the required educational qualification before the examination date of Forester recruitment
• Ex-servicemen with 15 years of military service holding equivalent certificate to graduation can apply by filling 'Not Applicable' in roll number field and selecting 'N' grade in result

Essential Qualifications

• Indian citizenship or citizenship of Nepal or Bhutan
• Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01-01-1962 with intention of permanently settling in India
• Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries for permanent settlement in India
• For categories (b), (c), (d), (e) mentioned above, eligibility certificate from Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India must be submitted

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: Level-8 of Pay Matrix as per 7th Pay Commission - ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500 per month
• During Probation Period: Monthly fixed remuneration will be paid as per Government orders
• Probation Duration: 2 years for direct recruitment candidates
• During probation period, only fixed remuneration will be paid, no other allowances like HRA, DA, City Compensatory Allowance, Special Pay etc. will be payable
• After successful completion of probation, training, passing post-training examination, and being found suitable for confirmation, regular pay scale and other allowances will be payable as per rules
• Other benefits like leave etc. during probation will be as per amended provisions of Rajasthan Service Rules

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2027)

• Minimum Age: 18 years (as on 01-01-2027)
• Maximum Age: 40 years (as on 01-01-2027)
• Special Relaxation: Additional relaxation of 03 years is granted to all candidates as Forester recruitment has not been conducted in the past 03 years

Age Relaxation in Maximum Age Limit

• SC/ST/OBC/MBC Male candidates (Original residents of Rajasthan): 5 years relaxation
• General Category Female candidates: 5 years relaxation
• SC/ST/OBC/MBC Female candidates (Original residents of Rajasthan): 10 years relaxation
• Ex-servicemen: 15 years relaxation as per Rajasthan Civil Services (Absorption of Ex-Servicemen) Rules, 1988. However, after relaxation, if the permissible age exceeds 50 years, the upper age limit will be 50 years. In case of direct recruitment where lower post experience is mandatory, the maximum upper age limit will be 55 years
• NCC Cadet Instructors: Service period in NCC will be deducted from actual age, provided resultant age does not exceed prescribed maximum age limit by more than 3 years
• Widows and Divorced Women: No age limit, subject to being less than retirement age fixed by State Government
• Emergency Commission Officers and Short Service Commission Officers: Considered within age limit even if they have crossed prescribed age limit when appearing before Selection Board
• Persons who returned to India from Pakistan during 1971 India-Pakistan war: No age limit
• Age relaxations mentioned above are non-cumulative, meaning candidates can avail benefit of only one provision for age relaxation

Selection Process

• Selection will be based on marks obtained in Common Eligibility Test (Senior Secondary Level) 2024 conducted by RSSB
• Written examination will be conducted offline (OMR based)
• The examination will be objective type (multiple choice questions)
• Total Questions: 100, Total Marks: 100, Duration: 2 hours
• All questions carry equal marks
• Negative marking of 1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer
• Questions will be based on General Knowledge, Social Studies, Geography, History, Art and Culture, Everyday Science, Mathematics, Current Affairs with special reference to Rajasthan State at Senior Secondary Level
• If examination is conducted in multiple shifts, normalization process will be applied
• Physical fitness test will be conducted after written examination for shortlisted candidates
• Document verification will be conducted for finally selected candidates
• Final merit list will be prepared based on written examination marks and physical fitness test

• Male Candidates: Must complete 25 km distance on foot within 4 hours
• Female Candidates: Must complete 16 km distance on foot within 4 hours
• Physical measurement standards and efficiency test will be qualifying in nature
• Physical efficiency test will be conducted by officers nominated by committee constituted under Rule 23(2)

General Information/Instructions

• Candidates must login through SSO Portal at http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and select Recruitment Portal from Citizen Apps (G2C)
• If One Time Registration (OTR) fee is not paid, candidates must first complete OTR process by selecting their category (UR or Reserved), disability status, and home state, and pay prescribed fee
• After OTR completion, candidates can apply using SSO ID by entering their CET (Senior Secondary) 2024 online application number
• System will verify CET 2024 application number and SSO ID with CET 2024 data before opening application form
• RSSB has made changes in online application form regarding educational qualification and other documents entry process

• Candidates should carefully select their educational qualification in OTR Dashboard
• Educational qualification documents will be uploaded by candidates in Document Details section as per recruitment notification rules
• Candidates are solely responsible for correctness and authenticity of their educational qualifications and documents as per recruitment notification rules
• If any information provided is found incorrect, incomplete or misleading at any stage, candidate's application can be rejected and legal action can be taken as per Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Section 217 and recruitment notification rules
• Information entered in OTR will be displayed in application form and cannot be modified
• All other information must be filled carefully by candidates
• If e-Mitra operator makes any wrong entry in online application, it will be considered candidate's mistake
• After Final Submit of application form, online application number will be generated
• Candidates should keep printout of online application form safely
• Candidates are advised not to use any other portal or facility for depositing one-time registration fee
• Candidates must ensure payment of one-time registration fee before last date to verify any pending payment-related transactions
• Candidates should register their own mobile number and email ID and not change them until completion of appointment process

• After online application, candidates will receive online application number and if Application ID is not displayed or received, it means application has not been accepted

How to Apply

• Visit SSO Portal at http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in and login with your SSO ID
• If you don't have SSO ID, register first by providing required details
• After login, select Citizen Apps (G2C) and choose Recruitment Portal
• Click on Apply Now button
• If you haven't paid One Time Registration (OTR) fee, first complete OTR process by selecting your category (Unreserved or Reserved - EWS/OBC-NC/MBC-NC/SC/ST/SAH), disability status, and home state
• Pay prescribed OTR fee through available payment modes
• After OTR completion, enter your CET (Senior Secondary) 2024 application number
• System will verify your CET 2024 details with SSO ID
• After successful verification, application form will open
• Fill all required details carefully in the application form
• Upload live photograph, scanned signature (in Hindi and English), and thumb impression as per guidelines
• Upload required documents (educational certificates, category certificates, etc.) in Document Details section
• Verify all filled information before final submission
• After verification, click on Final Submit button
• Online application number will be generated after successful submission
• Take printout of submitted application form for future reference
• Note down application number and keep it safely
• No need to send hard copy of application or documents to Board office
• Candidates can make corrections during correction window period (to be notified separately) by paying correction fee of ₹300/-
• Correction window will be provided twice - once after application closure for 3 days and again approximately 1 month before examination for 7 days
