Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification (Fireman): 12th class pass from a recognized Board. The candidate shall be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous duties.
- Essential (Fireman Physical Standards): Height without shoes: 165 cms (concession of 2.5 cms for Scheduled Tribe); Chest (Non-expanded): 81.5 cms; Chest (Expanded): 85 cms; Weight: 50 Kg minimum.
- Endurance Test (Fireman): Carrying a man (fireman lift of 63.5 kgs) to a distance of 183 meters within 96 seconds; Clearing 2.7 meters wide ditch landing on both feet; Climbing 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet. OR Ex-servicemen of General Duty Trade.
- Desirable (Fireman): Possessing heavy motor vehicle license.
- Qualification (Syce): Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board. Must be conversant with the duties of Syce.
- Qualification (Saddler): Matriculation pass or equivalent from a recognized Board with proficiency in trade.
Salary/ Stipend
- Fireman: Level-2 Pay Matrix - Rs. 19,900-63,200
- Syce: Level-1 Pay Matrix - Rs. 18,000-56,900
- Saddler: Level-1 Pay Matrix - Rs. 18,000-56,900
Age Limit (as on closing date)
- For Unreserved and EWS: 18 to 27 years (Fireman); 18 to 25 years (Syce and Saddler).
- Central Govt Employees: Upto 40 years (Fireman); 35 years (Syce and Saddler).
- SC/ST: 45 years; OBC: 43 years (as per prevalent govt instructions).
- SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates applying against UR posts are not entitled to age relaxation.
Selection Process
- Applications shortlisted based on percentage of marks in essential qualification.
- Written Test (Objective Type, bilingual in English and Hindi).
