Level-4/5 (GP Rs. 2400/2800) - 05 Posts

Level-2/3 (GP Rs. 1900/2000) - 16 Posts

Level-1 (GP Rs. 1800) - 33 Posts

Important Notes:

• No post is reserved for SC/ST/OBC communities
• Selection based on overall merit irrespective of community
• Candidates can be posted anywhere on South Eastern Railway
• Posts are in any of the Units of South Eastern Railway

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualifications

• Level-4/Level-5: A University Degree or its equivalent from recognized University
• Level-2/Level-3: Passed 12th (Plus-II stage) or its equivalent examination from Government recognized Board/Council
• Level-1: 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT
• Educational Qualification must be from a Recognized institution
• Those appearing at and/or awaiting results of final examinations are not eligible
• Candidates should possess requisite academic qualification while applying
• No relaxation in minimum educational qualification shall be permissible
• For appointment against Sports quota in Technician-III, minimum qualification is 10th pass, but training period will be 3 years unless ITI qualified (then 6 months)

Essential - Sports Achievements

• Level-4/5 Minimum Sports Norms:
  • Represented country in Olympic Games (Senior Category), OR
  • At least 3rd Position in World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior)/World Championships/Asian Games (Senior)/Commonwealth Games (Senior)/Youth Olympics/Davis Cup/Champions Trophy/Thomas-Uber Cup
• Level-2/3 Minimum Sports Norms:
  • Represented Country in World Cup/World Championships/Asian Games/Commonwealth Games, OR
  • At least 3rd position in Commonwealth Championships/Asian Championships/Asia Cup/SAF Games/USIC Championships (Senior), OR
  • At least 3rd position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships, OR
  • At least 3rd Position in National Games organized by IOA, OR
  • At least 3rd Position in All India Inter University Championship, OR
  • 1st Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior)
• Level-1 Minimum Sports Norms:
  • Represented Country in Commonwealth Championship/Asian Championship/Asia Cup/SAF Games/USIC Championship/World University Games, OR
  • At least 3rd Position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior), OR
  • Represented State equivalent Unit with at least 8th position in Senior National Championship (except Marathon and Cross Country)
• Applicant must have earned achievements on or after 01.04.2023
• Concluding day of Championship/Event shall be taken into consideration
• All Championships/Events should be conducted under aegis of International/National Sports Federations recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MoYAS)
• No recruitment based on certificates from federations not recognized by MoYAS at time of championship

Desirable - Additional Sports Norms

• Badminton (Men): Current Annual All India Ranking up to 8th position (Seniors-Singles) or World Ranking up to 50th position (Seniors-Singles) or 30th position (Juniors-Singles) for Level-4/5
• Athletics (Men): Gold Medal in Open National Championship/Inter State Athletics Championships/Asian Championships for Level-4/5; Medal in National Inter State Senior Athletics Championship for Level-2/3
• Hockey: Participation in International Tournament (4+ nations) or Semifinalist in Senior National Championships for Level-2/3; Events recognized by Hockey India considered
• Chess (Men): International Master title or 2350+ rating points in last two FIDE Rating Lists for Level-2/3
• Archery (Women): Medal performance in All India Inter University Championship and International events
• Rifle Shooting (Men): National Shooting Championship Competition - only individual performance considered
• Cricket (Men): Representation in Main Indian Team/India-A/India U-19 in Test/ODI/T20 matches; Quarter/Pre-Quarter finalist in All India Inter State Championships
• Tennis (Men): Annual All India Ranking up to 30th position (Seniors-Singles) for Level-1
• Golf (Men): IGU ranking up to 100 with single handicap less than 10 for Level-1
• Sportspersons fulfilling minimum norms for higher grades eligible for recruitment in lower grades also

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 25 years
• Date of Birth not earlier than 02.01.2001 and not later than 01.01.2008
• No age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates
• Matriculation or equivalent certificate OR Birth Certificate required as proof of Date of Birth

Application Fee

Payment Mode & Refund Details:

• Examination fee should be paid online through Internet Banking or Debit or Credit Cards
• Service charges for payment will be borne by candidates
• Fee in Cash/Cheque/Money Order/Central Recruitment Fee Stamps/Demand Draft will not be accepted
• Refundable portion will be refunded to eligible candidates who actually appear in the Trial
• Refund will be made after deducting bank charges as applicable
• Candidates should confirm account details for refund - same payment account or alternative beneficiary account

Selection Process

• Selection based on performance in Sports Trials followed by Certificate (Sports & Educational) Verification
• Recruitment Committee will conduct the selection process
• Venue and date for Trials and Certificate Verification will be intimated to eligible candidates in due course

Distribution of Marks (Total: 100 Marks)

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• Recruitment process purely based on merit of candidates as per vacancies in particular discipline
• In case of tie (same marks), preference given to younger candidate
• Canvassing in any form will attract disqualification
• Railway Administration reserves rights to fix/change date, place or postpone trials
• SC/ST candidates eligible for free rail travel in second class for attending Sports Trials
• Selected candidates must pass requisite medical fitness standards prior to appointment
• Selected candidates required to submit Service Bond for 5 years service with railway

General Information/Instructions

• Online applications invited from eligible sportspersons who are Indian nationals only
• Candidates must ensure their Name/Spelling, Father's Name, Community details, Educational Qualification and Date of Birth match with Matriculation certificate
• Any significant deviation/difference will result in cancellation of candidature
• Candidates must indicate personal mobile number and valid email ID - keep them active during entire recruitment process
• All recruitment related communication only through SMS and Email
• RRC will not entertain any request for change of mobile and email address

• E-Call Letter/Admit Card will be available for download on RRC website in due course

• No TA/DA/Accommodation will be given for appearing in selection trial
• Candidates to bring their own kit and make their own stay arrangements
• May be required to stay 2-3 days during selection
• Selected candidates posted anywhere on South Eastern Railway after successful completion of pre-appointment formalities
• Candidates should ensure they fulfill eligibility and criteria before applying
• Railway Administration free to reject any application not fulfilling criteria at any stage
• Erroneously appointed candidates liable to be summarily removed even after appointment
• Serving employees must attach No-Objection Certificate from employer
• Candidates debarred from RRB/RRC exams need not apply unless debarment period is over
• For Clerk-cum-typist posts, candidates required to acquire typing proficiency within 4 years
• Decision of South Eastern Railway in all matters relating to recruitment shall be final

Caste/Community Certificates

• Candidates may upload communities they belong to as per Chapter 13 of Government brochure
• Caste certificate issued by Competent Authority not below rank of Tehsildar for SC/ST/OBC
• OBC candidates must upload OBC Non-Creamy Layer certificate in Central Government format issued not before 1 year
• EWS candidates must upload EWS certificate from Competent Authority
• Minority candidates must provide self declaration for waiver of examination fees
• Minority candidates to furnish affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 10/- sworn before Executive Magistrate
• Ex-Servicemen must provide Discharge certificate and Pension related documents (PPO)

• On submission, Email/SMS with registration number and password will be received
• Login using Registration number and password
• Follow instructions and complete registration process step-by-step
• Provide bank account details for refund of examination fee
• Provide details of valid photo identity card and upload the same
• Upload scanned copies of: Photograph, Signature, Left Thumb Impression (LTI)
• Upload self-attested certificates in PDF format only for: Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Caste certificates, Sports achievements (concluded on or after 01.04.2023)
• Make requisite payment using credit card/debit card or internet banking
• Unique Registration Number will be generated - preserve for future reference
