The Government Military Pre-Service Education Institute (SPI), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, and the Girls SPI (GSPI), Nashik, have started the admission process for June 2026, with the pre-entrance examination scheduled for April 5, 2026, across multiple centres in Maharashtra for 60 boys’ seats and 30 girls’ seats.

Eligible students can apply online until February 28, 2026, and the written exam will consist of 150 multiple-choice questions (Mathematics and General Knowledge) based on Classes VIII–X State and CBSE syllabi, followed by an interview and final selection for Class 11 and 12 admission with NDA-focused military training.

SPI and GSPI Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • Candidate must be unmarried, a domicile of Maharashtra or only from Bidar, Belagavi and Karwar districts of Karnataka as specified in the notification.
  • Date of birth should be between 2 January 2009 and 1 January 2012 and the student must be appearing for Class 10 board exam (State Board or equivalent) in March–May 2025 and be eligible for Class 11 admission in June 2026.

SPI and GSPI Educational & Physical Requirements

  • The student must be appearing for SSC/10th or equivalent exam in 2025 and should meet all conditions for admission to Class 11 in 2026.
  • Minimum height and weight norms apply; for girls minimum height is around 152 cm and minimum weight about 43 kg, with no night blindness or colour blindness, and eyesight as per NDA/INA standards.

 

SPI and GSPI Entrance Exam Pattern 2026

  • The SPI/GSPI written examination will be held on 5 April 2026 at various centres, with a single objective-type paper of 600 marks conducted in English medium.
  • The paper has 150 Multiple Choice Questions: 75 questions from Mathematics and 75 from General Ability Test (GAT), based on Class 8–10 syllabus of State Board and CBSE, with +4 marks for every correct answer and −1 mark for each wrong answer.

Selection Process

  • Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for further stages such as interview, medical standards verification and document checking as per institute rules.
  • Final merit will depend on written marks, performance in interview and fulfilment of physical and medical standards required for future NDA/INA entry.

How To Apply Online

Visit the official website: 

  • Boys: open the SPI Aurangabad site (spiaurangabad.com) and click on “SPI Admissions 2026” or “Registration”.
  • Girls: open the GSPI Nashik site (girlspinashik.spiaurangabad.com) and click on “GSPI Admissions 2026” / “Registration”.

Complete one-time registration:

  • Click on “Candidate Registration” and register using 12‑digit Aadhaar number as User ID and Date of Birth as password (dd/mm/yyyy format), as instructed on SPI/GSPI portals.
  • Confirm that you meet eligibility conditions (domicile, age, class 10 appearing, unmarried status) before proceeding.

Fill the online application form:

  • After registration, log in and open the “Application Form” for SPI/GSPI Admission 2026.
  • Enter personal details, address, educational details (Class 8–10), medium of study and exam centre preference carefully as per SSC records.

Upload required details and verify entries:

  • Check all information before final submission because some fields and exam centre choices cannot be changed later.
  • Ensure your own mobile number and email ID are entered, not the cyber‑cafe person’s contact, to receive OTPs and further communication.

Pay the exam fee online:

  • Pay the non‑refundable entrance exam fee of around ₹450 (+ processing charges, if any) using debit card, credit card or net banking.
  • For GSPI, payment must be done within 48 hours of registration, otherwise the registration may be auto‑deleted and you will need to re‑register.

Submit and download the form:

  • After successful payment, submit the application form and wait for on‑screen confirmation of successful submission.
  • Download and print the submitted application form and payment receipt and keep them safely for admit card and interview/document verification stages.

Track updates and admit card:

  • Regularly visit the SPI/GSPI websites for updates on exam date, centre details, admit card download link and further admission instructions.
