Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualifications: Crop Improvement Division: M.Sc Agriculture/ M.Sc Botany/ M.Sc Zoology from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% mark/GPA 6.0. Pathology Division: M.Sc Agriculture/ M.Sc microbiology/ M.Sc Zoology from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% mark/GPA 6.0. Post Harvest Technology Division: M.Sc Post-Harvest Technology/ M.Sc Agricultural Engineering (with specialization in Post-Harvest Engineering/Processing)/ M.Sc Food Technology / Food Science & Technology/ M.Sc Horticulture (with specialization or experience in post-harvest handling/processing) from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% mark/GPA 6.0.
  • Essential qualifications: Two years relevant research experience
  • Desirable: Working knowledge in computer, Experience in conducting research trial Experiments, data compilation, Analysis, report preparation etc.
  • Experience: Two years relevant research experience

Salary/Stipend

  • Rs.35,000/-(Consolidated) Fixed per month

General Information/Instructions

  • Information related to changes in date & time of test/ interview, etc will be published in Board's website www.indianspices.com. Original documents for eligibility criteria submitted should be available for verification, failing which the candidate will not be allowed to attend the test/interview. Candidates are advised to check Notifications/opportunities in Board’s website www.indianspices.com for updates and not to rely on information from 3rd party websites.
  • Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria for the selection.
  • Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID and mobile number active for receiving communication from the Spices Board.
  • In case it is detected at any stage of selection process that a candidate does not fulfill the eligibility norms and/or that he/she has furnished any incorrect/false information or has suppressed any material fact(s), his/her candidature will stand cancelled. If any of these shortcomings is/are detected even after appointment, his/her services are liable to be terminated.
  • Decisions of Spices Board in all matters regarding eligibility, conduct of test, detailed test and selection procedure would be final and binding on all candidates. No representation or correspondence will be entertained by the Board in this regard.
  • Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this vacancy notification and/or an application, tests, etc., in response thereto can be instituted only in Kochi and courts at Kochi only shall have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/dispute.
  • The eligibility of applicants with respect to age, educational qualification, experience etc. will be determined as on the date of walk in test.
  • The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, only after the date of acquiring the essential qualification will be counted.
  • Spices Board reserves the right to modify/alter/restrict/enlarge/cancel the recruitment process, if need so arises, without issuing any further notice or assigning any reasons therefore. The decision of Spices Board will be final and no appeal will be entertained against this issue.
  • The engagement of candidates will be purely on contractual basis and under no circumstances are linked to regular appointments and cannot be regularized at any stage.
  • The validity of the rank list shall be for Two Years only.
  • Those who have already engaged on contract basis in Spices Board earlier, regardless of completed their tenure or not, need not apply again.
  • Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

How to Apply

  • Candidate appearing for the walk in test should bring along with them the necessary documents as mentioned below: 1.Original certificates for: Identity proof (Voter ID card / Aadhaar card etc.) Proof of age Proof of education qualification, experience, publications if any Passport size photograph One set of self-attested photocopies of the above documents In case of any discrepancy in the name and address one and same certificate from government local bodies shall be submitted.
  • Candidates possessing the essential qualifications and experience only are allowed to appear in screening test.
  • The Board reserves the right to select the candidate.
